Hey Everyone,

My Name is Kim, 16 year old turning 17 this September. I lived in Darwin and we moving back to Adelaide this November. I got Nissan NX-R Coupe and got my P plate about 4 or 5 months ago. I will get Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-T when I living in Adelaide. I hope I can meet some new peoples to chilling out with me.

Now, I want to know what is Provisional Licence Rules? Please give me for short sentence that I can understand. Are SA's Provisional Licence Rules are same in NT Darwin? What have I do if I moving to Adelaide and driving with P plate? Can I driving straight away with P plate when we living in Adelaide? Can I have a Turbo Car with P plate? Driving at day/night time? Can I driving to anywhere if I want to go?

Thanks, Kim

Hey Guys or chicks,

I lived in Adelaide now and it was great. Well I just getting Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-T or Nissan 180sx very soon. So I got my P license card in Adelaide and i have to wait to open my license until 2 years(over 19 years old)! :D that was too long and i can't wait. So it would be good when meet you guys soon.

    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
    • For DBA, check out their guide table here. https://dba.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Direct_Replacement-Guide-2021.2.pdf   Additionally they have some other guides and info on how to make sure you choose the right pad.
    • Sorry, just assumed that talk of coloured pads meant EBC red/green/yellow/shit stuff. I don't know the DBA pads, but it's a reasonable bet that they will be OK. DBA make good stuff generally. Those 4000 series rotors I linked to are very good. I may well replace the RDA rotors I have with those when required.
    • The average previous owner for these cars were basically S-chassis owners in the US. Teenagers or teenager-adjacent. I often tell people that neglect is easier to fix than something that was actively "repaired" by previous owners.
