Speed Limiter Defeaters

i know there has probs been 100posts about the 180 speed limiter!

but does ne one know if u can turn it off with a scan tool or do u need to buy those defeaters??

you can just cut the wore going to the ECU or you can make you own speed cut defender with a 12volt relay.

relay wiring

30 - ecu

87a - speed limiter wire from car

87 - no connection

85 - speed limiter wire from car

86 - 12 volt fused power

basically when you hit 180k, the relay kicks in a takes the limiter out but for normal driving the limiter is still in place and nothing else is effected.

I noticed my ECU loon had its speed wire cut when I got the car. So Id assume its safe to cut the wire.
