i have my auto one out of the car and my manual one sitting around, i'll take a few shots and post them up here tonight.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that - guess I don't have to worry about it then, hey?!?!

Alright, i got the handbrake installed. the handbrake i got was from an R33 GTR and one of the brackets was at the wrong angle. luckily, working on a construction site, oxy torches are quite abundant, so a quick blast and bang with a hammer sorted it out.

it still wasn't 100%, but served it's purpose. i used about half a dozen washers underneath to get the correct height and angle from the handbrake:

now i just have to adjust the tension on the cable and i'm all set. hope this helps people. i'll update with the console pieces tomorrow and then try to install it. i don't know how it will go around an auto shifter being there still, but we'll see. it's a bit of an incentive to get the rest of it in i guess.

Here are some pictures of the manual and auto consoles compared:

from this picture you can see the manual console (on the left) is slightly longer than the auto one. it also has a spot for 2 more cup holders (which i haven't installed because the atessa computer is still in the way)

the manual is also slightly lower than the auto. this means the pocket in the console is quite a bit shallower:

the gearstick surround is also a different length, not including a recess for all sorts of knicks and knacks:

so there you have it, the manual vs auto console comparison. sorry about the picture quality, but it's easier with my phone than getting the camera out. supposed to be 2Mpixel, but it doesn't look it.

ive got one being moulded up in 2 weeks.

much cheaper than a nissan one,and saves changing alot of parts.

bracket or console?

the whole manual gearbox in a series one is starting to look more and more expensive every time i look at it

only the series 2 came with a manual option, oh and the 260RS. it's the series 2 manual console

deluxe.

is the only modification required to the console is the relocation of the ATESSA unit?

no, you need to remove a bracket that holds a mount for the auto console that isn't part of the manual console. it's got 3 spot welds, you just drill them out.

thanks, im very very close to buying a Rs4 and GTR box straight after, might look at getting the parts shipped over from NZ in the likes of the console etc, if you pay someone there to buy the parts, then they delcare them as motor spares for personal use and mark them around $150 a shipment the duty and taxes should be negligable

when doy ou think you will have photos of the console in the car?

    • Out of curiosity, how do you cover up the inspection hole? Surely it doesn't sit open like that, right? With grime and dirt coming in and oil going out?
    • Hi from Canada, Both of my calipers are starting to fail. My car is a 2005 M35 Stagea ARX and I can't seem to find any parts or any cross reference caliper that would fit my car. Is there a company or a similar caliper that would fit and I could replace the OEM one. Or if anyone knows where I can find a new OEM. Any help is very appreciated. Let me know!
    • Maf is a question mark but TPS  I have set at 0.47, the fact that I’m getting proper voltage range out of it with the key on leads me to believe it’s functioning properly. I’m getting proper voltages on basically everything. I still need to look up voltage ranges for z32 maf and test that
    • Honestly no not at all, but it’s a very basic tune, it’s stock injectors q45 tps and z32 maf. Other than that it’s a completely stock base map. The file is from nistune and from my understanding if it was tune related I would be able to unplug maf and tps and it would still start even if it was a really shitty start. I have tried starting it with coolant temp, maf, and tps unplugged none of those 3 togethor or individually changes anything
