I have an R32GTS-T 93 model and am having problems.

Mods Are:

Greddy FMIC Vspl

Bosch 040 Fuel Pump

Blitz DSBC (Switched off)

Plugs: NGK Iridi's 6's i think at 0.8mm gap (the usual people get when boost has been raised)

3" turbo back exhaust

Just been full serviced (oil coolant filters plugsetc etc)

Thre are a few other things but just put the main ignition related ones

Anyway, Ill be driving along and ill lift off the accelerator for whatever reeason, go to put my foot back on the accelerator(not hard or anything) and the car seems to hesitate to fire, as if its get a nasty misfire, then coming back good until next time i take my foot off the accelerator and od the same again. Anotehr time i had clutched the engine as i was rolling to a stop when i first noticed this, and the car stalled out, as well as happening again another time. If i restart it its all fine to start but still does teh hesitation thing all over.

Now if i go for WOT, then the car is fine, it fires as it should as far as i can tell. Probably backfires a little more than it usually did but nothing excessive. I was wondering whether people had many ideas? its doesnt seem to be heat related (coilpacks) but u can never be too sure.

Im leaning towards coilpacks but i dont wish to fork out for a full new set just to find that this doesnt fix the problem. Another thing is that when i got the fuel pump installed, i noticed after that the lines (inlet in outlet of the tank) seemed a little "aged".

Any questions or possible solutions will be appreciated.

Cheers David

Standard ECU, boost is at 9-10PSI so i dont think it would be R & R..but hey it could be...Yeh i think ill look in to getting her dyno'd.

Is there any other thoughts on what it may be??? Feel free to PM if need.

    • So either way it is gearbox out and look what is wrong?  I know about the input shaft bearing. Even before swap/new clutch the it sounded exactly like this: So is that inout shaft bearing or the other was installed backwards?  And can some please tell me the part number for that input shaft bearing? The gearbox is small box from R34 N/A and number is FS5W71C. Thank you
    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
