So the other day when cleaning my car I noticed wires with loose ends under the drivers and passenger seats. Under the drivers seat, one comes from the seatbelt unit, the other comes from under the carpet, from who knows where. Someone on here said its for the warning light, but also possibly for the pre tensioners which I believe are a safety thing for crashes? In which case I would rather like to know where Im meant to plug all these wires into.

So.... you have the seat-belt end, and the carpet end? But they are loose wires, no plug?

Sounds like some very spirited vacuuming or friends with big feet ripped the plug off or something? I don't know why anyone would remove the plug intentionally.

Mine has (from memory) about 3 wires in the harness? You just need to plug both ends together with the correct pin-out. They're probably the same coloured wires on both sides.

Out of curiousity, does your seatbelt light on the dash light up when the ignition is on, but the belt is not done up?

No light on the dash.

Theres 2 wires (the plug ends are still intact, they just need to be plugged into something)

One, with a white end I think, comes directly from the seat belt buckle and isnt plugged into anything. Another wire comes out from under the carpet under the seat, and I think has a brown end. I tried plugging the white into the brown but they dont match so they are 2 different things.

the buckle on your seat has a lead which then runs to the floor which is your seat belt warning light. When the car is complied, they are fitted with new belts, so the old seatbelt warning system is no longer effective, You need to get the old seat buckle which has the plug attached to it.
