I have applied for one of the positions Howie posted about. Thanks you guys!

I've been running around handing out resumaes and collecting job applications....

Hi Rick.

I don't mean to sound like a prick (or the spelling police), but you've written this word incorrectly a number of times in this thread.

As a prospective employer, a resume is one of the first things we see from an applicant.

In this day and age with large numbers of people applying for the same job, anything you can use to cull the initial numbers is useful - spelling errors in the resume are a killer.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but hopefully you used a spell checker on any applications you've sent to employers - also be careful as many of them won't check capitalised words, so headings are particularly important to check yourself.

Best of luck with the job hunt mate, it sucks to be looking and not finding.

chops

gahh, spelling... My one and only weakness...!

I knew I was a bit shitty at spelling so I got my mum who's a book editor to check it out. I have a habbit of slipping up also because I have dyslexia although sometimes it's pretty cumbersome for me to hide.

Remember what you wear to interviews and stuff is important also, and the way you present yourself. Get to an interview 15 minutes before hand they will see your a bit more eager than usual. First impressions always make a difference. Also, biggest problem some people have is either they are too tense or too relaxed when they meet an employer, simply don't assume that every business is totally strict and just act casually, without swearing, or using mindless jargon. Follow all that in an interview and you'll get the job, providing you meet the criteria.

Good luck mate.

well it's not surprising you're not a great speller because if i remember correctly last year in year 12 basically my whole class couldn't spell! it's just our generation and all, it was once on a current affair as well! the problem was too much net language and smsing! well i try to write and type normally especially when i'm on the net! it keeps the habbit of spelling words correctly, following the rules and i have a dictionary! haha.... well yeah chops is right, most employers when reading letters and resumes rule you out if you can't spell properly

well summer is soon and i know there's a lot of jobs on farms that no ones wants to do! mostly labour jobs like fencing and stuff though but you just gotta ring the vineyards around the hills to see if they have any jobs! well when i did it last year it wasn't great because i had to work in the blistering sun and 35+degree heat, i even worked on new years eve which was 38 i think! but the money was alright, like if i remember around 800 a week after tax! but this year i heard the fish markets need workers! so i might try my luck there in their freezers and stuff!

i whole heartedly agree about the internet and SMS'ing ruining what spelling you had,

i have just realised how hard i found it sending an email to sumeone for a job without putting one bit of net lingo in it i felt sad to say it took me over five minutes because i had to keep backspacing and typing words in full...

i assume im a little older than most ppls except Andrew :D on these boards so spelling for me at school wasnt a problem we also didnt have lap tops (when i was a boy :P)

anyways /end rant good luck with our job searching this holiday season

    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
    • I haven’t pulled the injectors to watch them spray yet but they are clicking from the cas and all of the spark plugs are wet with fuel. I’ve thought the cylinders were being flooded from the beginning and was hoping fuel pressure would fix it. Tonight I am going to pull the rail and watch the injectors spray. Don’t know how to test/diagnose if the plugs are firing in correct sequence but that should be a timing thing and as far as timing goes my car still has the half moon for the cas can only install it 1 way. And my mechanical timing is 100% correct I posted photos above. Confirmed with the balancer on and off.
    • I checked spark on all cylinders and they all visually have spark with the plug pulled and grounded, but plug 1 is the only one that fouled. This was a running swap that blew up and was rebuilt by a machine shop, put a new wiring specialties harness and did all gaskets, studs, and bolts while it was out.  compression is 135-150 across all cylinders. Aside from that from my understanding with the z32 ecu and maf the car should start regardless. The wiring for TPS and the dual 02 sensor/ dual knock sensor stuff shouldn’t actually stop the car from starting or even running well, (just slightly rich)  they just give fault codes. Car supposedly is supposed to start as long as you have z32 afm and ecu with the nistune base map and that’s info coming from a well known and trusted tuner who does a lot with SR/RB (Rsenthalpy). After more trouble shooting today where I’m at right now is that the cas is sending signal to the injectors they click while spinning the rotor, Fuel pressure is now set at 43psi, all cylinders have good compression and all of the plugs looked great (just wet with fuel) except for cylinder 1 which was very black (cylinder 1 has 150psi compression). all of the coils generate spark if pulled out and grounded out on the head. On the fuel pump car just pops into the exhaust. On starting fluid car will fire off. Hard to tell if all cylinders are firing off but definitley a couple. sounds like all of them but it’s only for 3-5 seconds hard to tell.
    • Final update!!! Got the front bar fitted and sprayed and all sorted now. My cutouts worked great and the indicators aren’t just falling off. 😂
