Hi all,

I'm selling a pair of ball bearing Garrett turbos to suit RB26DETT - GTRs. They come complete with 1bar rated actuators, modified oil drain flange pipes, and most gaskets, so all you need to fit is maybe a few gaskets and some patience!

I purchased these turbos not long ago, they're the only reason i'm selling them is that they're probably a little too big and therefor laggy for my current plans. That an i got an exhaust leak and i have had to remove them!!! ;) If sold i'll probably be going through the headache of a big single conversion.

Turbos are located in Townsville North QLD and i'll pay the freight to anywhere in australia if they're sold. and if i get a good price i'll even throw in brand-new un-used genuine nissan head-manifold gaskets.

They're rated at 320hp a piece and the part/chra number is 707160-005. According to the retailer that sold them to me theyre similar spec to the GT28RS but with smaller housings.

They come on like a freight train at 4-5k and above 5k they keep going and going.. They've never really gotten a proper chance to perform in my car, but I have done a 12.1 at 114mph with around 1 bar.. but they were maxing the injectors out pretty hard for most of the strip! Capable of soo much more!

Theyve seen less less than 4,000 kms of use i'd estimate.

If no one offers a reasonable amount they'll be refitted to the car.

More specs at :

I'm looking for offers around the $2,500 mark, which is lots less than what i paid not long ago. Call me and lets talk.

Please contact me, preferably ASAP and by phone, coz soon i'll be too tempted to fit them back to my car.

Call, 0402.701.181.

Cheers

Rob

A mate of mine tuned an R33 GTR, which had a pair of these and it managed an impressive 410kw at the wheels with these turbos on 1.8bar. This shows with a few mods these should be the last turbos you'll ever need to buy.

good luck with the sale mate - very good price!

hi mate im not sure how much you paid for these turbos but when i had purchased them 8 months ago i paid $2200...i just looked through ebay and some1 is selling them for $2550 brand new.

but good luck with your sale

Sorry to the people who pm'ed i've been out of town for a few days.

I understand that 2.5k is a little on the exxy side what with the prices these are going for these days. And I'm willing to conceed that obviously its pointless expecting anywhere near the new price, but looking due to the fact that there is absolutlely nothing wrong with these units and added to that, the costs i have to meet to replace them means i could probably only go as low as $2300.

The only reason i'd be selling these is to convert to a single turbo setup and realistically i'm looking at over $4k to purchase what i need.

So I take it on board that $2500 is too much and i'll adjust the pricet to $2300.

Thanks for the replies.

Robbo.

MrFlex the fact that these turbos retail for $2500 a pair has already been noted.. Please read the thread, but thanks for the bump.

Unfortuantly I've decided to keep them, after a few very good offers, Ive decided to keep them anyway. The cost to replace them is just too much for me at the moment, these are good turbos, just a little excessive for what i want at present.

Thanks again to the people who made legitimate offers.

Cheers,

Robbo.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
