OK guys, the ANZAC day cruise is to Phillip Island.

To keep it simple, the meeting place is the disused dandenong stockyards, the same as the dandenong drive-in cruise.

Melways REF 90 B8

Just take Princess Hwy, turn right into Cheltenham Rd (if coming from the city). From there we'll just take the South Gippsland Hwy, then Bass Hwy.

**Departing 10AM SHARP.**

okz.. i am going down with a friend or two..leaving melb around 10am.. where should i meet up with you guys? Dandenong is not really on the way?? I have your number tho Maximus... maybe juz call you tomorrow morning when we're on our way and choose meet up place for me.

we could be later, it really depends.. sorry, but i'm not one for massive plans - i generally just play it by ear.

Great day for it! I went down with a couple of friends separately. We didn't really get on the road until about 10:30 so would have missed you guys. I *was* planning on calling u Maximus and seeing where you were at and join up if we could- ended up i thought i had your number in my phone but found out i didn't :( Oh well, i'm not sure whether it would have worked out with staying there most of the day anyway.

How many peepz you get??

Funny, neither me or my friend saw any cops along the way! Strange, would have thought there would be many on a public holiday

We kinda just hung out there the whole day, played some minigolf, had a few beers and dinner at the San Remo pub and then cruised back.

Anyway, 'till next time i guess. I think the key to a succesful cruise is at least 2-3 weeks notice..from experience, the turnout seems to be better then.

Was a great cruise and meet, thanks to all who came!

Hope to see more cars/ppl on the next one.

Pred. we were driving back at about 1:30pm, so if you were on the road at 10:30, it may not have been your car. Some colour and a HUGE wing that was unmissable.

C ya

Alan

We were trying to find a good place to take a pic, unfortunately everywhere was busy (good weather and everyone at the beach). We got sick of looking and decided to cruise home. :)

No one had a digi cam either, i just had a disposable.

When it stalls is it nearly like a switch off, like you've turned the engine off? Or is it more stutters and sputters and coughs to death over a few seconds? Or does the RPM just slowly keep going down and down? Have you done a test of trying to start it with the AFM unplugged? Does it still die?     If you Follow Josh's advice on using Nistune to check the voltages (which is a perfect method!) if you see anything out of wack voltage wise, THEN get the multimeter out and read the voltage directly at the sensor. If the two vary, then you're now looking for a wiring issue vs a sensor issue. So be aware, what the ECU sees, may not be what the sensor is actually saying too...
    • You very likely need to get it on a dyno and tune it. My assumption is, you've got an RB25DET tune in it, which has a different manifold, different injectors, and different cams as a minimum. What O2 sensor are you running?   When you say it runs extremely rich from idle all the way to redline, is this just free revving it you see that?
    • I seem to the be only person that is using a Haltech 2500 on an NA motor, I've installed a Bosch DBW throttle body to the OEM intake manifold and am having problems maintaining AFR even with the wideband o2.  It will run extremely rich at idle and up to redline, but under load it will go extremely lean in the 20s and i'm essentially having to rev it over 4k and feather the clutch to get it up to speed.  I've read a few other threads of about the butterfly, it seems removing the vacuum to it is supposed to have it remain open, i've noticed no difference under 4k with the vacuum line to it plugged.  I'm hoping someone here has had luck using the NA manifold with Haltech, and if they happen to have a tune for it.
