ok, so whats the go for this evening? i suggest meet up at the museum between 6pm and 6.30pm, then head into braddon at 6.30pm SHARP to be sure we get good group parking, but whether it'll work that way or not could be another story....

sound like a plan? any suggestions for parking?

Works for me Luke

Parking...... yeah. Um..... yeah.

I spose 6:30 is early enough to get some good spots in Lonsdale street somewhere, but if the police start going over everything with a fine tooth comb like last night?

i reckon your car will slip under the radar tonight. there will be much more 'defectable' looking cars than yours getting around. besides, your car isn't actually 'defectable', as in your tyres aren't bald or car sits too low etc.... just flash your engineer's certificate and i'll reckon you'll be fine.

also just posted this up in the NSW section, so we might get some interstater's there tonight....

I'm not particularly worried about my car especially, just last night they basically went through everything. Mine was parked out in the open with Leigh & Steve's and we got in and out fine. I just don't want anyone's night to end on a downer :)

We're a well behaved bunch, we should be fine.

You are pretty much GAURENTEED they will be doing the same thing tonight best idea is to meet at museum then just cruze and park somewhere a little less crazy and obsever the action.. I went and got new rear tyres this morning cuz i was worried :P

p.s. did anyone see the drags in hume and on monaro hwy last nite.. :P NUTS

Are they still doing that? I rememeber seeing that about 8 years ago but thought it would have surely ended now.

Maybe parking where Mark, leigh and I did last night would be a good spot. It was the street between northbourne and bradden main street?

was behind widebody heading towards exhibition park this morn, man that thing suprises me everytime i see it, its huuuuge!!

Summernats was ok today, abit boring, dont know how people spend all day there, i get bored after a few hours. ill be working there tomorrow and sunday aswell so if you see me say hello, itll get you a free beverage

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
