these are my extractors from group buy #1 (2.5" outlet with hpc coating)

1-3 buyers

D12 rb20/25de headers (AUD$225)

D5 rb30e headers (AUD$225)

F124 gasket (AUD$15)

4+ buyers

D12 Headers (AUD$185)

D5 rb30e headers (AUD$185)

F124 gasket (AUD$15)

hpc coating

one set of headers (AUD$170)

shipment options

international express, 1-3 days (AUD$100.00)

international air, 3-6 days (AUD$70.00)

international economy, 10-15 days (AUD$60.00)

*gasket is optional but recommended.

*varying outlet sizes can be welded on for you can have 2", 2.25" or 2.5" (please specify which one you want)

this group buy will begin now and run for approximately 3 weeks ending on the 2nd of february.

full payment will be required by the 2nd of february.

the order will be made on the 5th of february.

if the previous group buy was anything to go by, it will take approximately 1 month from date of order to your door step. this is of course dependent on delivery method, hpc coaters, and the actual time it takes for coby to fabricate them. these headers are coming from new zealand.

any questions ask away.

note: only say so if you are 100% in, a group buy only works if purchased in bulk.

cheers

Thanks for doing this EUG

pm replied.

assuming everyone on the list goes through with the buy, we are now eligible for the more discounted price.

just a reminder that the buy ends of feb the 2nd.

Sorry guys i'd have to opt out of this group buy altho I REALLY REALLY want it =(

as per this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=151678 I got rear ended, let the guy off cuz I thought the damage was little.. then found out it's several thousand dollars worth of damages (internally like rear support, boot not closing properly etc), luckily I've got insurance and would have to pay 1.4k for the excess (+some extra) so have to opt out of this group buy for now..

Very very sorry about making you guys havin to pay more for the extractors

hopefully I can do it in the next group buy if there is one..

p/s-remember to ALWAYS take num of the one who hit you no matter how small the damage seem.

sorry to hear buddy - hope you get your car fixed. it is totally understandable that you have other priorities.

that brings the group buy back down to 3 people.

i'm sorry guys, but i never intended to run a 2nd buy. however about 10 people have requested that i run another one.

bottom line is, they wont work without your support. alot of talk and no action.

i am happy to help other members out, but don't waste my time - i do not make money out of these, infact i lose money due to transfer fees and international phone calls.

those on the list - i appreciate your support. it is the others that have let you down. i will let this play out till feb 2nd, and i will see if they will allow you guys as an "extended" buy off the first one or something if we cant meet the quota.

regards

  • 2 weeks later...

i'm not too crash hot with that r31skylineclub buyer, but i have sent an email a few minutes ago asking quotes for 3 buyers and 4 buyers respectively (see first post).

i am quite disappointed with the others who have wasted my time and money.

will hopefully know by late next week and let the ones who are serious know. read the forums for updates as that is where i'll communicate easiest with most people.

Hi Eug,

alright guys, i've got the majority of the orders.

just chasing up some final amendments from some people regarding their outlet sizes.

ok guys.. just got off the phone with partsco.

prices are as seen in the first post.

i will PM each of you later tonight with your order and the total and my account details.

Eug: Funds transferred, thanks for organising this.

Regarding getting these installed, whats the going rate for an exhaust shop to install?

can i also ask that everyone provides me with a detailed delivery name and address. since these are coming internationally i suggest:

Name

# XXXX Street,

Suburb Postcode

City, State, Australia

this way it prevents any confusion and minimizes mistakes.

chicane: i had mine installed at a reputable exhaust place.

here's a breakdown of what i did.

- install headers and flange welded on

- replace all manifold bolts

- fit new catylytic convertor - tig weld temperature sensor and 2 flanges welded on.

- appropriate gaskets for the cat

- fit catback exhaust

- and removal of the standard one.

total = $250 and took about a few hours.

*this is not inclusive of parts.

the catback exhaust i already had, and i bought the cat convertor for $140

hope that helps

Hey guys,

Eug wanted me to post and let everyone know that he cant get online at the moment. His modem has died and he should have a new one and be back online by the end of the week. If anyone needs to get any messages to him in regards to this group buy i can pass them on, so either message me thru here or [email protected]

Cheers

Jamie

    • There is a way, but it's not with the same cars. You need to find the same vintage of car, that we had. Realistically, that was an affordable car with aftermarket parts around. So what people need to find is a car that had a decent base in its day, and can be modified. They're looking for a car year make of 2010 to 2015 really... Aus could have done it if Holden didn't fold as V8 commodores were cheap, and if Ford didn't get expensive thanks to COVID, then you could cheaply play with FG Barras. Realistically, those are just a bit heavier, four door skylines. I'm sure the US and UK have similar cars they could find.
    • Haha I do that.. thats when it chirps..The bit point for me is almost non-existent. Otherwise I stall it. But yes, in terms of performance, the clutch is solid af.
    • Greg speaks wisdom. These dirty old Datsuns are only value when they are cheap. When they are not cheap, there is no value. Sounds contradictory, but it's true. We are now 20 years past the hey day of modifying cheap 90s JDM cars for small amounts of money. This is a different world. If you are rich and can afford not to care about what is effectively wasting money on an old Datto shitter, then I have no reason to argue against it. But if you are wanting to experience what we all experienced back in 2005 (and I bought my car last century!) then there is no way to do it.
    • Short answer: No. Medium answer: No, because you still need to conjure the things out of thin air to bolt them to a NA to make it a NA+T. Long Answer: No - The things you need to conjure - meaning a turbo, intercooling, manifolds, exhaust, intake/manifold/piping, clutch, injectors, fuel pump, AFM (?), ECU + Wiring (woo, N/A loom fun) have to come from somewhere. You could have many scavenged these things from an OEM car that someone had upgraded from and use some of these. This will be cost prohibitive now, especially so in the USA. You'd probably pay the same for newer, upgraded components that are better than old OEM stuff from 25-30 years ago. None of these big ticket items are re-usable for the N/A car. Why not buy new and upgrade while you're there? The only real consideration is turbo and fuel sizing and determining whether you want to stay within the bounds of the OEM engine or get into rebuild territory. These limits ARE lower with a N/A motor and especially N/A gearbox at the starting point. And if you're gonna upgrade those then you may as well consider having them built to begin with. Because everyone here knows you're never far from that next engine rebuild once you start making the power you want... The cars you see on the internet and SAU etc have been built over decades. If you're really clued in... you would sell your US car to somebody for what you paid for it. You would then scour AU JDM pages or SAU and buy a car like Dose's on this forum with your powerful American Dollar. This will save you so much money in the long term. Importing it could be tricky. Or it might not because USA. I have long said the only reason 90's Japanese stuff took off was because a) Japanese people had Japanese cars so that is what they used b) Australians could import these cars to Australia with very minimal changes and use them on the road here c) Neither country had well-priced access to US or EU Sports Cars. I don't believe the JDM scene would have taken off in Australia at all if we had EU priced EU BMW M offerings, or more especially the AUS V8 Scene would never have existed if we had the multitude of US cars like Camaros, Mustangs, Corvettes at the prices you folks do. After all - Do the math. I would say put a V8 in your R34 and that's the smart way forward. It is. I did it. I know this from my own experience. But at that point there's no reason to simply not buy a C5 or C6? It would be simpler and easier and cheaper and bette-
    • Reading all this... hurts lol. I have an ENR34 5MT and I paid an inflated USA price for the car alone, had to do tons of preventative maintenance past that, and so I'm over $30K USD into the car already and haven't even touched power.  I wanted to +t it. Not even trying to make GTR numbers, I'd be happy with 250hp.  Can I get away with paying much less to make that happen?
