It may have a stuffed plate or two if its dented badly enough.

My battery that was leaking was bloated also. Zero overcharging and usual engine bay temps. Its suspected it may have been dropped prior to purchase.

So maybe the mechanics not to blame? Was fine before i went there tho. This sux going from a swanky engine bay to one like my toyota corona ( giv or take a little ). Be good if they were at fault just so i can have things fixed, will be seeing him sometime this week. He still thinks its the alternator!

Well for those of you who are interested, i saw my mechanic and he denied topping the battery up. My alternator was fine aswell. I then went to a battery mob and he confirmed that the battery was overfilled! Causing the battery to swell when its trying to gas and then spurting acid out of the breather holes!! So i bought a new battery and has been fine since. Not sure what to do now bout the mess its left my engine bay and front bar in? The mechanic's just going to deny topping it up again! Any suggestions????????????

Ring the mechanic and tell him what the battery bloke has said.

Then state you won't be taking your car back to him and will be suggesting to every one you know not to take it there either.

Here Here, I do agree, unfortunatly there is not much that can be done about it unless you can prove they did fill it up! looks like your gonna need to re paint yourself bro!

    • Well that is not a sign of good quality..  Understand, but not so nice to drive on the street I suppose and out of my price range..
    • I recently got myself a 1989 r32 GT-R and it has some slight smokiness from the exhaust and misfires sometimes when coming off the throttle. I'm looking for a good mechanic in the Brisbane region who will do a good job on it. It'll need a diagnosis, and most likely an engine rebuild with refurb/stock parts (not looking for a motorsport build... yet). If anyone has done something like this before/knows stuff about this in terms of who can do it and how much it cost, I'd like to hear about it. I was looking on the forum and I found some posts from 2020 that were similar to this, but it has been a while since then so if anyone has any updated info that would be great.  I'm also new to the forum so if this topic should be in a different place please let me know. Thanks in advance!
    • Stretching my memory now but about 10,000kms. After that I had a hissy fit. In went in a OS88 sequential then a PPG sequential. The extra gear is a game changer.
