my car has coilovers, but is lowered extensively on 17x9's. there is no grip in the wet, but superb cornering in the dry. if you check your rear camber, u will see why, mine is ridiculous. get some camber correction in the rear, then try again.

if your tyres have massive blocks they just wont move the water out, mine are like this and it is dangerous at any speed toi enter a roundabout in the wet. i try not to drive much in the wet unless i have too. if you ant wet grip, lose the blocks.

A Whiteline rear camber kit is $123 on the Group Buy (plus fitting), premature wearing out of the inside of rear tyres costs a lot more than that.

na my tyres dont have big blocks... im gonna go for the full SK kit but cant get it all at once... but once its all there ill do the setting SK recomended which includes a bit of camber...

i heard these are good but why would i spend $1700 on just coilovers when i can get SK kit for $2300 and it includes everything you need to make your car handle like a dream... coilovers are not the whole suspension they are just 1 of many components...

i had gt champiros on a std r32 gts 4 and i never had any problem with them, even in the wet they were fine. They were ok on the track too, my times were the same or better than std gtst's- not too bad for a car thats 150 kgs heavier.

I am not saying i couldn't have done better times with other tyres but they never gave me any reason to fear them. In fact they were probably better on the front than the bf goodrich radial tas that I put on later which understeered like crazy in the wet, the fronts were always pushing wide(sliding at slows speeds into roundabouts).

I wonder how many people here have gone from a low powered front wheel drive car into a high powered rwd Skyline and not taken the time to learn the car before pushing it?

Whenever i put new tyres on or do something that changes the vehicles dynamics I always take the car for a blast to just get a feel for it, just so I have a few more clues on what to do if the shit hits the fan.

i forgot to mention that i noticed that the inside of the tyres gets worn out a fair bit. is this due to what you are saying?

Yes, thats exactly what wil happen. As you can see you're placing more load on one part of the tyre and less on the other. Hence less grip. I had this problem on my s15, once corrected it made the world of diference.
