Well round 1 of the State Supersprint Championship has been and gone with some excellent results.

SANSW had three entries

Neil De Pau (not sure of forum name) finished up with a best time of 53.98

John Tompsett (JT) finished up with forth in SVD with a best time of 52.37

Jason Edgley (ZX2NV me) finished up with a best time of 50.08 to secure the class win and place 6th overall

Collectively we managed to get 6 championship points for SANSW Yiippeee!!!

So come on get your cars out there and race em for real its a bigger rush than any track day and there is prizes etc for wins aswell.

whens next round?

Jason - Im guessing it was OP south? thats a great time! Last time I saw you there it was low 55's high 54's and I wasnt far off that pace!

Chris (hope I am right) the next round is at Eastern Creek on the 22nd April. There is also a PP day on the 30th March and 18th April I believe I should be at both prepping the car.

Last time at OP with the V8's yeah I think it was around the 55 or so on street tyres which is probably pretty spot on. Was hoping for a high 49 though yesterday but it was too hot the turbos didnt like the extra heat of a 35 odd degree day. Its funny my third lap on the track in the first session was my fastest all day and was only around 27 or so degrees at that stage.

Hope to see you at EC. if you want to go you will have to register with CAMS and be issued a Comp number. Then its a matter of filling out the individual rounds entry forms from the various hosting car clubs and its race time.

Cheers

Jas

Thats me mate!

heheh

Yep, being out on the track that day with 4 V8 supercars was....well... exciting!!!

Most of these supersprints/hillclimbs/motokharna's are most on sundays and bugger for me as I have to work :P

then again there is always "sick leave..." :)

    • I tried the next one up from 600k ohms which is 60M on my multimeter and all readings came out as 0.00 ohms so right now the most accurate is 600k ohms with only a 0.1 ohms difference between coils. Three coils read 1.4 ohms and the other three read 1.5 ohms.
    • surely that is a control arm, not a sway bar. In any case, visual condition should not be an issue, excessive movement under load (eg with a big pry bar) would be the issue. I can't see 99.999% of pink slip places even looking, let alone trying to test it
    • I attached the image of the only thing I found, nothing to do with ohms in the manual only torque values etc. However, being they are so close to each other I am almost certain they are good. Tomorrow I will test the spark plugs while I am there. and look at the ECU connections.
    • Hi Gents. Do u know what 18rim will fit under R32 GTST with no modification of current setup I have. I have buddy Club P1 17x8 on front and 17x9 rears and they fit well.   Will an 18x9 on 35 off set with 235 tyres up front fit? ON the Rears i can run the rim size n fit 255 or 245? or i got option to get 18x9.5 on 35+ Offset n 265?   CHeers
    • And, when measuring and getting <2 ohms, perhaps chose the next larger range than that, rather than something with a k in it!
