Ok, got an 94 R32 GTR just got tuned (this past Monday); Car running fine the last 3 days but this morning started the engine, then once reached drive way (uphill) engine just stalled.

Straigtaway I thought that this is it.... engine is dead :) . Managed to reverse car back down (without power steering), then tried to start the engine again, it kicks over and oil pressure gauge goes up a bit for a few seconds but then goes back down. Its not sparking or igniting at all.

The engine just got tuned for the following:

RB25 A/F meters,

New Tomei Camshafts,

Brand New N1 Oil Pump

New Sard 280lt intank fuel pump with recently upgraded relay/wires

N1 turbos

Car made 414hp atrw at 20psi (stock engine internals)

Could it be because of the upgraded relays on the Sard pump, A/F meters, its not leeking oil or fuel, or is this the sign of a dead engine???

Has anyone had a similar problem and anyways of resloving the problem?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Ants

run a stock ecu diag, that will help a big deal

get a consult cable (or borrow one) its probably something obvious

check afm connectors, check water temp sensor

check you have spark (listen with screwdriver on plenum area)

check you have fuel (can hear pump, run and prime)

check you have 12v power and relays are ok (no smoke, no ticking)

check all fuses (next to steering wheel, in engine bay and in boot)

the big fuses and relays are in the boot (well in the r33 they are)

Thanks paulr33, I will have a go at this and get back to you guys. Sounds electrical but Im not certain.

paul what is the best diag program to use? ive got an ECUtalk with a computer connection and most of the software that is good to use with nissans, reason i ask is because i put gtr injectors on and resistors and now shes not starting, dont know if its something simple... ill check it tomorrow

sorry to hijack just thought id ask here instead of making a new thread....

    • Thanks MBS206, i got that PDF but got abit overhelm with all the connections and tracing of wires. I wasn't expecting to plug the dash harness anywhere. i was just going to use my electronics jumper wires to plug into the right pins like ECU power, ecu ground, ignition trigger etc... I do have a few ratchet straps locking it down tight. Fire extinguisher ready and only a small amount of fuel at a time, enough to submerge the pump.
    • Thanks GTSBoy, i will do abit more digging. I am missing a blue relay near the ECU connector... so i will chase that up in the next few days as well
    • https://yariksteel.ru/manual/R33/Skyline_R33_elektroprovodka.pdf   Page 18 should be what you want for the Dash Cluster wiring. Though, you don't need the dash plugged in to get the motor running. What you want is power as how GTSBoy said. You need to power the ECU. Find in the above link the ECU pin outs (Verify them before just connecting them up from things written on the internet). Find anything needing power, give it power, find anything needing ground, give it ground. Then give the starter motor power through a big cable, and bridge the solenoid on the starter straight to power too.  ECU will be on, and when you give the starter power, it'll spin the starter motor, and it should start. I also hope you have a proper stand, and not just the engine sitting on some wood. You will want it bolted down properly.
