Oh, what a night

Late December back in sixty-three

What a very special time for me

As I remember what a night.

Oh, what a night

You know I didn't even know her name

But I was never gonna be the same

What a lady, what a night.

Oh I, I got a funny feelin' when she walked in the room

Yeah my, as I recall it ended much too soon.

Oh, what a night

Hypnotizin', mesmerizing me

She was ev'rything I dreamed she'd be

Sweet surrender, what a night.

I felt a rush like a rollin' ball of thunder

Spinnin' my head around 'n' takin' my body under

Oh what a night.

Oh I, I got a funny feelin' when she walked in the room

Yeah my, as I recall it ended much too soon.

Oh what a night, why'd it take so long to see the light

Seemed so wrong, but now it seems so right

What a lady, what a night.

Oh, I felt a rush like a rollin' ball of thunder

Spinnin' my head around 'n' takin' my body under

Oh what a night (do do do do do, do do do do do)

Oh what a night (do do do do do, do do do do do)

Oh what a night (do do do do do, do do do do do)

Oh what a night (do do do do do, do do do do do)

Pick a better song at least.

Calm down mate. No need to respond like that. I'm 33 if you must know and don't appreciate this kind of spite in a post directed at me. I find SAU extremely useful and opened your thread as I thought you were suggesting another social outing. As I stated there are other areas in SAU for this kind of thread. You need to relax keyboard warrior.

Now for another great song....

Money for Nothing - Dire Straights

From the Money For Nothing Album,

I want my MTV

Now look at them yo-yo's that's the way you do it

You play the guitar on the MTV

That ain't workin' that's the way you do it

Money for nothin' and your cheques for free

Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it

Lemme tell ya them guys ain't dumb

Maybe get a blister on your little finger

Maybe get a blister on your thumb

We gotta install microwave ovens

Custom kitchen deliveries

We gotta move these refrigerators

We gotta move these colour TV's

Gotta install microwave ovens

Custom kitchen deliveries

We gotta move these refrigerators

Gotta move these colour TV's

I shoulda learned to play the guitar

I shoulda learned to play them drums

Look at that mama, she got it stickin' in the camera

Man we could have some

And he's up there, what's that? Hawaiian noises?

Bangin' on the bongoes like a chimpanzee

That ain't workin' that's the way you do it

Get your money for nothin' get your cheques for free

We gotta install microwave ovens

Custom kitchens deliveries

We gotta move these refrigerators

We gotta move these colour TV's

Look a' here

That ain't workin' that's the way you do it

You play the guitar on your MTV

That ain't workin' that's the way you do it

Money for nothin' and your cheques for free

Money for nothin' and cheques for free

Money for nothin' and your cheques for free

Look at that, look at that

Money for nothin' and your cheques for free

I want my, I want my, I want my MTV

Money for nothin' and cheques for free

(Fade)

I want my, I want my, I want my MTV

some of my poems (which are copyright)

This poem was written after i received the best birthday gift for my 25th birthday in NZ last year.

Kiss Bliss

The best gift ever, my she must be clever

Im finding it hard to endeavour without that blissful pleasure.

It was presented on a tour, that unfortunately a third party had to endure,

I want to feel like that forever, and i hope her feelings were even better.

Another song/poem that i have written (copyright too so please dont reproduce)

used to smoke a bit if you know what i mean

just couldnt resist a puff on the green

not meaning to gleam devine intervention intervened

sick of wasting the dream,

learnt about the subliminals and had my head cleared before i became a criminal

swept in an infernal cycling spiral forever in denial

It must have been that wish to keep 100% eating from that dish

and not from the floor, shown the door, kept in the dark beneath all, as some of you all would prefer,

here to defer this, devilish hiss,

the story everyone is so eager to dismiss,

the oppression of the poor like the rich insist,

who would have thought the wolf in sheeps clothing

was invented to keep the masses in fear and loathing,

well far from las vegas, where the truth persists,

clearing the myst, removing the cyst,

eating at life, making life healthy productive and free from strife.

Do i remain in this disguise to prevent the demise like orwells son of rajab of the flies,

to hope the time impossible never gets up and flies us by,

its just the way i try forever remaining high, seeking the traveller by,

to take the path less chosen, why yes i have rosen,

why, are you deaf?? like wyclef,

your lucky you wont end up with three holes in your chest.

Well ready or not here i come, 90% of lifes paths in the tree of life are rarely fun,

Someone needs to have begun and persist,

to protect lifes interests,

whether that be i.e. longevity balance and the family tree.

It doesnt matter as long as i persist see,

whats done is done and is forever,

plenty of time in the future to be clever,

Governments really should learn not to f**k with the weather,

Its a shame that some people put me to blame,

In the eyes of the misled going lame,

that the boy they thought cried wolf, is not the wolf

merely a boy that cried out at our kinds shame!!!!

another one (copyright aswell) written when i was incredibly hung over.. hehehehheee

Perfect people from the future,

who have conquered time, read it in my ryme,

come back try and save man kind at least on my time line.

lose that selfish greadyness that you use to keep your control,

maybe i should give in and win on every roll,

they claim to be the gods of our time,

but they should not be this gready if they are gods of mine,

But remember as i recover from last nights bender,

my thoughts jumbled in a blender,

All is forgiven, a long time ago you should surrender

and remember, that even the perfect blunder

including this boy wonder!

here we go again.... Nightcrawler and cubes if ou are not happy can you please transfer all of these to the wasteland if you see fit... cheers Chris......

Please note this is copyright aswell so please dont reproduce!!!!

Think 33rd degree of scottish freemasonry,

yet beyond, a much larger fish in the pond,

guarding the door on the forty fourth floor,

fighting the cyst eating at life like the ultimate james bond,

of which many are fond, for if it wasnt for rymeing like this,

that is so ingenious,

none of the illuminati would ever exist,

think the future of time to prevent this bliss from going amiss,

many who read this will probably scoff and come up with a diss,

maybe one day you will meet the devil and here his hiss

frig its hard being a genious!!!!!!

My favourite poem... (could this be the reason why i wrote kiss bliss?????) (copyright aswell) feel free if anyone would like to give me a publishing contract as after yesterday i am currently out of work again....

This one was written after a break up and a lot things were going wrong in my life....... (which in reality wasnt all that bad.. i learnt a lot!!)

The clogged drain has blocked my brain,

Could it be selfish billionaires trying to make me go insane!!!

Theres still one limit to prevent me from going insane that they havnt cracked and will never if i have my claim to fame,

the fifth element from the fifth dimension,

something so remarkable words cant begin to mention,

Is it the marijuana that is creating all this drama,

when it is really a story bigger than the deli lama,

one day she will come along and end my mission,

everything i have ever DREAMED of and selfishly been wishing,

Do i really need all my riches? or will it come when i dig ditches?

hopefully i will hear that ring on the phone,

before my fate ends pre post poned,

One day i shall be so happy that i shall sing,

hopefully something will result from this fling,

but in the end its the only thing that matters,

in this multiverse that i have created, not many know that i be the guardian creator and king,

Chuffed at the knowlede that man kind may one day on one timeline be led to his salvation!!!

    • Did this end up working? Did you take some pictures?
    • And finally, the front lower mount. It was doubly weird. Firstly, the lower mount is held in with a bracket that has 3 bolts (it also acts as the steering lock stop), and then a nut on the shock lower mount itself. So, remove the 3x 14mm head bolts , then the 17mm nut that holds the shock in. From there, you can't actually remove the shock from the lower mount bolt (took me a while to work that out....) Sadly I don't have a pic of the other side, but the swaybar mounts to the same bolt that holds the shock in. You need to push that swaybar mount/bolt back so the shock can be pulled out past the lower control arm.  In this pic you can see the bolt partly pushed back, but it had to go further than that to release the shock. Once the shock is out, putting the new one in is "reverse of disassembly". Put the top of the shock through at least one hole and put a nut on loosely to hold it in place. Put the lower end in place and push the swaybar mount / shock bolt back in place, then loosely attach the other 2 top nuts. Bolt the bracket back in place with the 14mm head bolts and finally put the nut onto the lower bolt. Done....you have new suspension on your v37!
    • And now to the front.  No pics of the 3 nuts holding the front struts on, they are easy to spot. Undo 2 and leave the closest one on loosely. Underneath we have to deal with the wiring again, but this time its worse because the plug is behind the guard liner. You'll have to decide how much of the guard liner to remove, I undid the lower liner's top, inside and lower clips, but didn't pull it full off the guard. Same issue undoing the plug as at the rear, you need to firmly push the release clip from below while equally firmly gripping the plug body and pulling it out of  the socket. I used my fancy electrical disconnect pliers to get in there There is also one clip for the wiring, unlike at the rear I could not get behind it so just had to lever it up and out.....not in great condition to re-use in future.
    • Onto the rear lower shock mount. It's worth starting with a decent degrease to remove 10+ years of road grime, and perhaps also spray a penetrating oil on the shock lower nut. Don't forget to include the shock wiring and plug in the clean.... Deal with the wiring first; you need to release 2 clips where the wiring goes into the bracket (use long nose pliers behind the bracket to compress the clip so you can reuse it), and the rubber mount slides out, then release the plug.  I found it very hard to unplug, from underneath you can compress the tab with a screwdriver or similar, and gently but firmly pull the plug out of the socket (regular pliers may help but don't put too much pressure on the plastic. The lower mount is straightforward, 17mm nut and you can pull the shock out. As I wasn't putting a standard shock back in, I gave the car side wiring socket a generous gob of dialectric grease to keep crap out in the future. Putting the new shock in is straightforward, feed it into at least 1 of the bolt holes at the top and reach around to put a nut on it to hold it up. Then put on the other 2 top nuts loosely and put the shock onto the lower mounting bolt (you may need to lift the hub a little if the new shock is shorter). Tighten the lower nut and 3 upper nuts and you are done. In my case the BC Racing shocks came assembled for the fronts, but the rears needed to re-use the factory strut tops. For that you need spring compressors to take the pressure off the top nut (they are compressed enough when the spring can move between the top and bottom spring seats. Then a 17mm ring spanner to undo the nut while using an 8mm open spanner to stop the shaft turning (or, if you are really lucky you might get it off with a rattle gun).
    • You will now be able to lift the parcel shelf trim enough to get to the shock cover bolts; if you need to full remove the parcel shelf trim for some reason you also remove the escutcheons around the rear seat release and you will have to unplug the high stop light wiring from the boot. Next up is removal of the bracket; 6 nuts and a bolt Good news, you've finally got to the strut top! Remove the dust cover and the 3 shock mount nuts (perhaps leave 1 on lightly for now....) Same on the other side, but easier now you've done it all before
