Hey Guys,

Im looking at a setup for the '95 R33 GTST im getting

I listen to alot of r'n'b and dance/trance/hinrg mainly

I was thinking something along the lines of:

pair of 12" Subs

pair of 6x9's in the back shelf

  • 2 x 12" subs (maybe 10" if respose is better not how the rnb tunes will go)
  • 2 x 6x9's
  • 6" or 8" Splits in the door with tweet's
  • NO idea what kinda AMP(s) to run...

Basically im looking at Infinity, US Audio or JVC or a combination of all of the above (as i can get these really cheap ) what are they like?

Advice would be great as im not a brain when it comes to car audio.. :( sometime in the future ill look at getting a headunit with a screen built in and prolly put my PS2 in there :) but thats a while yet... ive got a pioneer headunit from about 3 years back was about $799 RRP never been used :)

Thanks with any help guys

if you can get anything cheap go for it!!

el kamelon jvc decks are awesome ****, us audio is decent for power amps and infinity, well, theyre nice...try to get infinity amps instead of us audio, they would be tre cool

if you have subs you wont need 6x9s

check putting some splits in the rear cabin, or just some midbass, or leave the stockies

Tell me a budget (even if it's long-term)

And, how much SQ/SPL you want your system to have

ie: 60/40 SQ/SPL etc

What does that mean? SQ = Sound Quality, SPL = Sound Pressure Level (How loud it is)

With SPL comes less sound quality usually. 60/40 is a good comprimise usually.

As i said, tell me the above figures (Budget and SQ/SPL) and i'll reccomend you a couple of set-ups.

US Audio, Infinity and JVC are good brands, but they're not the best. So i'll reccomend you a few different systems once i get figures. (ie: one using mainly the brands you can get cheap, one using a bit of them brands, and another not using them brands)
