Ive done a search and read a few topics on this, and pretty much everyone it seems has had to trim or cut their front Reinforcement bar. This is something I want to avoid due to insurance and mainly safety reasons. Im not driving a Volvo sure but I don't really like the idea of actively cutting up whatever front protection there is.

I plan to just go with a standard JustJap kit, don't really have the cash for anything fancy. I plan to get a workshop to fit it. So is there ANYONE out there that has managed to fit an FMIC without cutting the reo? My front bumper is stock if that helps (or hinders). As I said I searched for this but could only assume from the other topics about it that either no one bothers to work around it and just cuts the reo anyway, or its impossible to NOT cut it.

If it is 'trimmed' exactly how much is removed and how much is that going to affect its strengh in a collision?

i got my cooler done by Protek in Melbourne and they fitted it with no masacaring of the bar or rienforcement. id definetly recommend getting it done by a workshop, unless you know exacxtly what your doing. should be around 200 or so and it well worth it to know they its done right. im sure they already would do their best, but empahize to them you want no or very minimal cutting of the reco and bar and im sure they'll try and accomodate.

pic. got new plates now and the slim lines fit just about perfect across the middle.
