Hi guys, There are a number of sizes, widths and lengths. Prices from $40 to $90. eg, a 2" wide piece long enough to do a split dump pipe from the turbo all the way to the cat cost $65. With enough left over to do the heat shield on the turbo. That included the stainless clamps.

The other brands are ok too. The best setup is the thermotec turbo kit, comes with the turbo blanket.

I use the dei stuff because wrapping the pipe evenly is very important and that brand has little markers on the tape, makes it easy.

i heard that this stuff is crap for your exhaust...a mate of mine who works for an exhaust shop told me that the heat builds up under the tape and when it cools it forms condenstation which produces moisture and forms rust on your exhaust and manifold

Hi,

if you think about it. You need about 10" to wrap around once. You need to over lap by about 1/3. you can get 2 or 3 " tape. I used 2 " on my GTS-T since I wanted a good fit around the o2 sensor.

If u know how far down you want to go you can just do some simple maths.

BTW, these prices are for that good shite, DEI brand. The thick stuff is best I've seen. Like I said, I purchased it firstly for my car and the quality is there.

It would seem that any rust is from the stuff that does not breathe ... like that shiny silver stuff. Don't waste your dosh on that.
