What mods are done to the car?

Has it been worked on recently?

How long have you owned the car for, or have you just bought it?

When your driving, when is it losing boost? What RPM?

Does it bog down?

Its hard to diagnose problems over the internet. Being specific to all the details is a must :)

oh my bad, umm theres a funny rattle sound come from either the engine bay or around there when i turn the car on, but it goes away? and also im loosing boost?

How many kms has the car done? And whats the oil condition and level like?

Does it only rattle when cold? Is it a rattling sound, or a ticking sound?

Ticking most likely = noisy lifters.

Loud external rattle most likely = exhaust heat shield (if fitted).

First step with the boost problem is to check (and check again) all intake & intercooler piping, and check all vacuum hoses in the engine bay.

I'd be checking the intercooler hoses first if your losing boost. May be a boost leak.

Yup.. i'd say KeyMaker's right there...

Sounds like it could possibly be two unrelated problems. Check all piping from turbo to throttle body.

Another possibility could be exhaust manifold gasket. Check it for leaks.

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
