Bf Goodrich Drag Radials

Hi,

I have got BFGoodrich g-Force T/A Drag Radials and i am wondering weather they need to be warmed up before every race to get better traction or not? burnout on water? I read once that these tyres are the dry type and water will make the traction worse... is that right?

always good to heat them up....but burnout on water makes not difference, just makes it easier to get going....well thats what i always thought...

and doesnt put such a shock on the driveline when you drop the clutch

from what i understood drag radials need a good smoking to get them heated up?

also yes with your burnout start in the water so there isnt a massive shock to the driveline, but then get the car into the dry area so the tyres have more friction to fight against.

keep an eye on your mirrors to see that you are making good smoke as well

These tyres only need a small burnout to get heat into them and to let the chemicals in the rubber do their thing.

Try it until you see actaul thick white smoke and then stop.
