me thinks, that if after peak tourqe, and hence peak acceleration of the rollers, the momentum of the rollers continue to spin, it could unlock the converter. I'm looking at the graph, and it does actually look like phenomena occurs just as the steep ramp levels off a little.

I'm not sure if i explained that correctly.

Darren - does it do this on the street as well?? If not, ill put $100 on this theory! ... in net land of course :D :D

Hey

looking at the graph its a fairly drastic flat spot / dip in the curve, yet on the street its not really felt.

im running a 2.8 - 3k high stall which feels nice and tight and i would doupt it to be unlocking as,

the issue is starting around 3700rpm so i would think the convertor would be locked up hard at 3700.

im thinking it has more to do with the vct changing at the same time as the waste gate is opening causing the turbine to slow down a little.

or something like that.
