ENTRY FEE will be: $ 70.00 (GST incl) Late entry fee $ 20.00

Membership, entry forms and Supp Regs are on website and need to be emailed in to them by 8 p.m. 30/8/07 - I suggest you do it a day or two before this to ensure you get a spot because they do fill up. You will get 4-5 runs and a slow run before the event starts if you have never been on the track before.

MINIMUM LICENCES:

Current CAMS Level 2S Licence and club membership card are compulsory and must be produced at the Event. Membership/CAMS Forms can be downloaded, filled out and paid to SDMA on day (verify with secretary that this is still okay), but you will need to enter before then to avoid the late fee.

SCRUTINEERING will be held at: Scrutineering Bay from 7.30 a.m.

a) All vehicles must comply with Schedules A & B of the CAMS General Requirements for Automobiles (as specified in the CAMS Manual), including a fire extinguisher; blue triangle (for battery) and a secondary method for fastening the bonnet (for registered vehicles this is the secondary catch that we already have on most vehicles)

b) Maximum noise limit: 87 dba at: 30 metres. Any car found to exceed the maximum noise emission limit will be suspended from the Event until the Chief Scrutineer / Clerk of the Course is satisfied that action has been taken to bring it within the limit.

c) Competition numbers are to be positioned on both sides of the vehicle, OR at a minimum for ‘SDMA Club events’ are to be positioned on the right hand side of vehicle. SDMA may issue you with a competition numbered Card – this also indicates the running order.

d) Drivers and vehicles must be presented in a clean and tidy manner. Note: The Event will not be delayed due to late arrivals. It is the drivers’ responsibility to ensure their vehicles are scrutineered before the scheduled starting time of the Event. Drivers must attend scrutineering personally so that their driving apparel can be checked.

DRIVERS’ BRIEFING will be held: at: The Start Line at 9.00 a.m. It is compulsory for ALL drivers to attend. Scrutineering will cease whilst the drivers’ briefing is in progress.

Note: A driver “sign-on” sheet must be signed by all drivers to prove briefing attendance. Failure to sign on may result in penalties being applied by the stewards of the meeting.

The EVENT commences at: 9.30 a.m. and finishes at: 5.00 p.m.

I am here to help if you have any questions or need help with your setup.

Michele

    • How many of you guys run the synchro os giken set and at what power? Do you then also use the billet plate?  How is it launching with it, any dragy times from 0-60? 60ft?
    • Oh, also, forgot to add these photos I believe.
    • Thought i'd update on this. I was able to get in contact with Craig Lieberman and later on Darryl Alison (owner of Kaizo Industries). Darryl was able to help me verify that my car was in fact one of theirs and is helping me find more info on mine !
    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
