ok, well in the haste of getting lots and lots done on my car this week, i've finished painting the engine bay got most of the wiring in and the dash pad is ready to go back togther, all the engine lines were placed back ect and i was all ready to dump the motor in on thursday but after a long time fiddeling with it on the engine crane we couldnt get it to go mount on the engine mounts

so wondered what was going on, so i walked over to my other car the one the engine came out of and guess what the engine mounts and lower crossmember are way different, angles and mount types ect now i no theres a lot of people out here who have done engine conversions have any of you ever incountered this problem?? how did you overcome it?

because the only way i can think i can fix it is to take the crossmembers out and swap them but that means i gota rip the engine all the way out to swap em and its a big job lol cbfed with it atm but im stuck and nothing else can progress.

ps, ill update some pics in my other thread sometime today or tommorow

well my shell is from a 97 turbo model and my engine is from my 94 na+t, i wouldnt know where to start to fabricate the mounts, looking at them they look like the engine would sit in the right spot but it doesnt it sits way higher so much so the bonnet wouldnt be able to close
