Hey all,

I just managed to get my hands on a 87 200ZR Fairlady.... There are few things that I want to do to it and I need an idea as to what other cars I can get body parts etc off... There isn't alot of info out there on these!

Engine is easy - RB20DET.. eventually it will be RB25 or RB26 :P

Gearbox - also R32

Drive train??? Possibly R32 tailshaft? It runs the R200 diff and thats in good nick so Im not concerned about that!

Body...hmmm... its classed as a Z31 so I am hoping Z31 300ZX... Dave (T04GTR) mentioned that DR30 are interchangable as well.... does anyone have any other ideas?

Cheers,

Anna

Heya

Ive got a Nissan 200ZR (87) as well. Its the same body as tha Aussie delivered Series 3 300ZX (commonly called the Californian). Trying to get hold of as many people with same cars to help with parts too. Been trying to locate front parkers (as mine are Amber) that are clear/amber from S3 300zx. Drivetrain is pretty easy to source parts for. A lot of Skyline gear is Interchangable. Drop me a PM if you need some parts. Will try keep look at for them and hopefully you can do same.

cheers

Yeah the 200ZR is a fantastic little car, good to see another one out there. If you want any info about them, I know a fair bit about the RB20 redtops, and the Z31/R31 series in general (as heaps of parts are interchangable between the two) also have owned pretty much all the variants of the Z31/R31 series at some stage.

    • No. BSP lost to the cultural/technical imperialism of living next to Trumpistan. Face it, Robertson screws were better and still pretty much lost out to the yank stuff. The Europeans hate the Brits and they don't use NPT. NPT is just as "imperial" as BSP is, being based on those useless inch thingos. Just done differently.
    • I live in Quebec. Our license plate slogan is "Je me souviens" Translated is "We will remember" as a reminder to when England conquered us and that we must never forget what they did. Long story short, BSP is unheard of here due to being an English design. I'm surprised our nazi anti english government office the OQLF hasn't kicked in my door yet just talking about it, yet alone imperial anything.
    • Thanks for that! I did a quick Google search looked up some of hydaulic stores and didn't see it listed on the website, I'll give them a ring. Also found out later that I can buy 2 oem bleeder bolts for 10 bux and come with the washer which I might do so I don't waste the money it costs in petrol to find 2 washers (already did that lol). The old copper washes look in good nick, I drove it after taking it off and putting it back on and didn't see any  Part number here for reference if anyone needs: 14053-42L0A
