Mt Panorama wont be available to drive that weekend, could be some good viewing tho.

Unfortunately i think you might be right. but there is another problem. I now have to go down to bathurst on the friday. So i wont be at the cruise. So unless people still want to make the drive for the hell of it...i'll have to postpone

BTW **Miss Rexy** i work for subaru, i love that shaped rex!!!! looks big bulky, and like it would eat someone!!!!

 Sure does!!

What do you think of the '08's? They're just plain horrible in my opinion and lack the "meanness" that rexies are known for. Quite sad really, lol.

B.J. ............... OFF. Maybe i should leave the cruise organising to other people....

**Miss Rexy**, yeah while they lack the meaness (i don't even think the 07 was AS mean) but they certainly do not lack the go. They still go like a bat out of hell (sadly even better than my silvia LOL) and the AWD system is unreal for high speed cornering (not sure if sliding the corners is more fun tho....)

 to you too...

OK SO... the "Central West" 31 lads will be meeting in Bathurst to have a watch of whats going on for the day, I think there will be 3 or 4 of us west of Bathurst.

so Bathurst SAU lads, feel free to join us, We'll be in town around 10:30 and probably meet up at McPhillamy on the top of the Mt. Any one else coming up I'm sure we'll see you around.

dunno what anyone from Sydney is doing... suit yourself.

sorry dude i didn't mean it like that. I just don't have the best organisational skills is all. i think next time i'll just convince someone to organise one lol!!!!

So what went on guys?

Mt Panorama was totally sealed... for the track day *edit* it sounded like they crashed on the mount...

Someone in a 180 ended up with a bent car before they even made it there, with R33line as passenger... (AFIK)

hope all involved are ok & i hope no one was being silly buggers to cause the accident.

Yeah BS if you ask me...

Ok so it cost you between $3000 and $6000 to flog your car around the track and actually be taught to drive Panorama... but c'mon its nice to be able to watch that shit, they had rotars, corvettes, a few of the 'brutes', the petbarn Monaro's, + heaps heaps more, but we couldnt see anything properly

I sent a message to the organisers asking why the whole mountain was sealed off, and why there was no information regarding it on any of the websites ie: Mt Panorama, BLCC or the official "Drive Bathurst" website.

DRIVE, SPRINT or BOTH!

The opportunity has finally arrived! Mt Panorama Bathurst 2007 is a five day invitation only event utilising the Mt Panorama Circuit at Bathurst NSW. The aim of the event is to give experienced club competitors and motor sport enthusiasts the opportunity to receive expert instruction from well known and respected race champions and then drive on the full Mount Panorama Circuit.

The Event will comprise two categories: driveBathurst and sprintBathurst. driveBathurst is an untimed non-competitive event whilst sprintBathurst is a timed competition. Eligible competitors may enter either or both categories.

    • After using a protractor for an actually accurate assessment of what is required,  and by NOT using my uncalibrated eyeball I worked out I need a 25° silicone bend from the TB ro the MAF, but, my choice was either a 30° or a 23° (23° is a weird spec), so I grabbed the 23° one from Raceworks I also grabbed 1mtr of 3" straight from Just Jap, I needed 350mm, but they only had 300mm, or 1mtr lengths....meh Also ordered a 1/2" hose bulkhead fitting from fleabay, this has a smoothish mushroom looking head (they are designed for below the water line of boats) that will fit inside the bend, the hose bit and threaded bit looks to long, but nothing that a hacksaw cannot fix if required, the hose will then just get jamed on the threaded bit up to the retaining nut Fingers crossed and the unsightly amount of hose clamps will be reduced down to 4 once all the parts arrive
    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
