markimak
Vote 1 for Thread Closure ur gay and have ginger hair hence u dont count.. I haven't watched it but with the clues...9000rpm rules out: SR20 CA18 RB20 RB25 RB26 LS1 1JZ 2JZ 7MGTE 3SGTE VG/VQ VH45DE 4G63 That leaves L28 4AGE/4AGZE You already said no to 4age/ze I guess L28 You also said "a" factory charger. So I'm guessing L28 using a supercharger from a Toy Yoda does not rule out RBs SRs can rev to 9k a couple on NS.com do CA can rev to 9k my mate had a jap factory one some special edition one and reved to 9k. my old GTR reved to 9k. and if u listen the limit is 9k. yes doubtful LS v8s rev past 8000 and the rest speak for themselves. no the factory charger is the same as the original supplied by the manufacturer.. eg CTs for JZ engines and T3 for RBs actually.just trying to listen to it at work. it sounds like a 4 pot. ca18 with toy yoda charger. or is it a Camry spec 3sge with 1G-GZE charger. nope and nope.. good try ur thinking. but missing a few points.. listen to engine sound not comp sound and take not of the way it revs and limits. and wher it drops back in the next gear. there was no mention of a forged engine.therefore, rules out all RB's except maybe an RB20 for a duration of 3 seconds. The only built engine mentioned was the 4G63 which he has said is not it. L28's like to rev (but it doesn't sound like a 6) 3s and CA18 also like to rev. that clip doesn't sound like a 6. it's defo a 4. SR20 doesn't sound like that at all. 4agze ruled out. to make it all easy, I'm going to stick with one final guess. CA18DEZ (supercharger from a 4agze or a 1g-gze) Tell me I'm right you southside loving bogan!! engine internals are unknown but the engine is built not saying forged or anything.dude the purpose of this is to see who can guess based on clues given and having a few masking factors thrown in the fact that it may be built or std bottom end is irrelavent. and dude im filo so how can i be bogan. and no its not a supercharged CA18 u think i would go to the trouble of that lol Sounds like an Electrolux... lol... yes P.s sif delete my posts, farken mods/admins dude oneday someones gonna king hit u. Hey Mark - what would it cost to put a 1jz in to a E36 beema? How many compliments about soutside will I have to make? lol hey mate cant take on another conversion project till next year. do u have the JZ sourced..? if u supply me with the engine box loom running gear it will cost prob 3k to do loom mounts drive shafts cooler cooling and induction and exhaust.. and my labour so 3-4k on front cut. or 7k drive in and out turnover a few weeks. its only 4-6k for RBs drive in and out on silvias from memory the JZ mounts fit the E36 well..?? correct.? TTT
It was just a general question really. I figure jz in to BMW would work better than most. BM's come with straight 6 (slightly on a slant but none the less) intake is on the left and exhaust is on the right. so a JZ would work better than an RB. There was a series 5 E36 with a 1jz for sale on here for $19K a while back. I have no idea how much work it would have taken to fit. I'd just suggest that it would be more straight forward than other engines. say a E36 320i. has a 2L straight 6. 1jz is bound to fit having all the bits on the correct side. 320i will cost about $10K for an auto one. 1jz = $1500 R154 box - $1K?? etc etc Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/189900-what-engine-is-in-this-s13/page/4/#findComment-3429360 Share on other sites

TTT
it's an S13 with an RB20det I'd say because there was no wheel spin thanks to the no torque.. TTT
look 2 posts up where that guess was shut down. I'm guessing that was second gear. 47kms, 3000 something rpm. plants it and goes through to 120 something kms and 9000rpm. rb25 would have been wheel spinning like a lebo at a wedding. rb26 would have been wheel spinning like a lebo with his mates egging him on at a wedding. rb20 would go chirp then continue to rev, rev, rev, rev limiter. and listening on headphones it definitely sounds like a 6 and not a fart.. I mean 4. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/189900-what-engine-is-in-this-s13/page/4/#findComment-3430655 Share on other sites
