Recommended Posts

hi guys, sorry to waste your time but i need names and addresses of witnesses to that **** who backed into my car in the hume highway macdonalds car park after heathcote on the 1st of june, if you guys could call me on 0411 50 54 58 or email [email protected] with your name address and phone number that would be awesome! coz he wont contact his insruance company so im seeking legal aid :) just wanna get my car as beautiful as it was before he scarred it

thanks again guys!

I didnt see the lead-up or the impact dude, just saw him moving off after it happened...

Just hang in there til the right people catch this thread I guess. I will help if I can mate :)

Well the people there from what i remember at that time were dale, ash, andrew, kylie, mook and maybe a couple of others (?). But that was about it, and no idea who actually saw the accident

and i got there shortly after ..so only heard what happened. .. but if u want me to have "witnessed" it then i guess i could have and not realised it..

Assholes like that should pay for sure.. He reversed back into you - howver when reversing the law is to give way to all traffic. So i'm not sure what the exact case would be in that situation - they could rule it 50/50. If not staple his balls to the wall via a lawyer.

i know his guilty dude cos i was there when ya were changin details n shite, and i saw it after it happened, not as it happended...so i cant say i witnessed it cos i may get caught out....

there would have been at least 5 people that did "eye witness" it though....

  • 4 weeks later...

did anyoibne actually see it ? coz now he';s come out and changed his mind and is blaming me, funny coz i was sitting still with my hand brake on and he reversed into me... funny how that could be my fault ?? lol what an idiot, might have to just pay to get my car fixed and wait for the money to re-imburse me

With the amount of people there, there was about 5 of us and what 1 ? was it of his witnesses... so in the circumstances Noof should be fine as the other guys word should be bogus - but its all difficult when it comes to this sort of situation. If the person refuses to admit fault it can take months and months.

My record was 6 months in an old car to get it fixed, but eventually he lost (and quite rightly, it was his damn fault)

    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
    • I just bent the ends of my premo plates. It even went through Regency like that after the engine conversion and the inspector (a great bloke!) just squinted his eyes and said "I didn't see that". Plates, and how they look, are just something that have zero importance to me.
