Just another point to check, I have a split dump pipe and when it was removed I looked inside it to where the split joins on, and the hole on the main pipe where the split pipe was welded to was no where near as big as the diameter of the wastegate pipe.

There would definately be a restriction to wastegate exhaust in this area. As far as I can see the only way to fix it would be to cut the dump pipe just behind where the split joins, and port out the hole with a die grinder or something.

KKR turbos run a Vband clamp setup, and as far as i know the only dump pipe for them is the one through otomoto (the turbo supplier) so its got nothing to do dump pipes (you can change the design for a v-band much at all) Its got to do with the wastegate design of the turbo itself, every KKR equipt skyline I have been in/driven/seen/read about boost spikes.

Bad exhaust housing/wastegate design, end of story.

    • Learned a bit @PranK To add a twist to this take, I've done some further investigation and turns out I don't know if I even have coilovers. I have Mugen Showa on all corners, which appear to be struts / springs online. Someone may be able to correct me if I'm wrong.
    • Well, i've been told it's going to be in Poland around october - november. It should set off by the end of this month. Waiting for it to arrive is the easy part, searching for the right car, wake up in the middle of the night to see the photos and decide whether to bid or not - that was difficult
    • Thanks mate, i'll keep that in mind. Not sure though if the black carpet will fit grey interior. I'd prefer original Stagea set but if i fail to find one in another few weeks, i will probably come back to you. p.s. - is this original, licensed Nismo product?
    • I'm a strong believer that old sports cars should be reserved as weekend cars and owned by mechanically inclined people. The risk-reward ratio is only acceptable under those conditions.
    • @Stringycheese hopefully this is helpful. 🤣
