and as far as that 1 issue was it was the idiots in the blu 33 number plates GET SUM, grow up you tools, the 31 met 3 out of 3 requirements and wasnt a bad car at all, if you dont like a car keep your opinions to yourself, i didnt like your car but did i tell you to get a real car??? and if ya wanna bring ya buddys who are pissin up and makin the SAU community look bad just piss off plan and simple....

R u serious?? I invited GETSUM to come along for his SAU event because it is such a complete car (interior, motor at approx 500hp, and exterior) but regretably it will be his last, as for me and my brother getting on the piss if a small majority of people wernt so boring and could handle actual REAL conversation we wouldnt have started drinking, obviously we are all there for the same reason but theres more to it than just cars and computers, get a life goobers, spend some time interacting with people in person and not just online. it was seemed more like a star trek convention than anything else, more talk about megabytes, utility belts and ram than anything else.

Your going to get different personalities at these types of events and have to deal with different personalities so get over it. Me and my brother didnt have many negative comments about anyones pride and joy and enjoyed ourselves probably more than alot of people did so lookiong forward to seeing u mic check 1 2 on the next cruise. I suggest bringing a cement mixer to to the next cruise so you can harden up a little. The people we talked to seemed to enjoy the conversation as i did from my end. So maybe keep your opinion to yourself next time on matters that dont relate to skylines. Oh i did enjoy my smirnoff to. It was quite refreshing.

Thanks for all of the support today folks. It's a real credit to you all and the turnout and conduct in general should be satisfying to the team that put the day together. I know there is plenty of work that goes into the planning, including an alternative location being planned on top of everything else so my congratulations to the organisers.

I was appreciative of all the different cars that came along and the Old Fella coming up with the Show and Shine results shows there is plenty of appreciation for cars that aren't just GTR's. Well done mate.

Now to the regretful part. I was extremely disappointed with the behaviour of the driver of GETSUM. You need to pull your head in mate. This was a charity cruise and you attempts to cut skids at every opportunity draws the wrong sort of attention to the rest of us and is extremely disrespectful to the Charity we were supporting. Also your comments as reported were uncharitable and showed further disrespect to the other attendees. If you cannot refrain from such behaviour then don't bother to turn up in future. Count yourself lucky that several of us didn't report your anti-social behaviour to the Police and I think I speak for the majority in saying you were not missed at the Barbecue.

The rest of you were a credit to the Skyline community and if you feel you could enjoy more of our activities then you would be welcome members of the SAUQld club.

Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you all out and about again.

Cheers

Geoff

words

Your mate in that blue 33 was an absolute tool on the freeway, not to mention the locking up of brakes and nearly causing a horrific multi car pileup, yeah ok.

I wasn't witness to the 31 slagging myself, but by several accounts it didn't seem like the nice thing to do.

As for the internet nerds, I don't know who you were talking to but most of the club have a life outside of computers, unlike yourself obviously who seems to have quite a bit of practice at internet rage.

Thanks for coming guys, but behaviour was a bit on the delinquent side... which in turn attracts cops.

The rest of you who pulled skids out front, thanks for not doing it on the grass, but it would have been nicer had you not done them at all :O

harden up cream puffs lol

i no tha driver of getsum real well and 2 start he wouldnt say any crap coz some car didnt meet requirements so b4 u carry on next time maybe make sure they did yell whatever u said they did idiot.and skids woo sure it wasnt tha screamer pipe cause i heard it was just a few chirps so man up u girls.he is a skyline driver and loves them 2 so wouldnt have bagged some 31 cause it didnt meet the requirements and also pretty sure he would no that a r31 would meet the criteria being A a skyline B havin a RB in it C a nissan he not stupid so stop painting him as being so and on top of that next time u start 2 carry on just a word of warning be real sure u can handle it if u piss them off so stop bein girls.

    • Even more fun, leave all the ADAS stuff plugged in, but in different locations, hopefully avoid any codes!   And honestly, all these new cars with their weird electronics. Pull all the electronics out Duncan, and just shove an aftermarket ECU and if needed a trans controller in, along with a PDM. Make it run basic but race car styled!
    • To follow up a question from earlier too since I had the front bar off again (fking!) This is what is between the bumper and the drivers side wheel And this is the navigator side, only one thing but its a biggy! So basically....no putting coolers in the wheel arches without a lot of moving other stuff. Assuming I move to properly race prepping this car I'll take that job on and see how the computers respond to removing a whole bunch of ADAS modules
    • So I prepped the car for another track day on Wednesday (will be interesting to see coolant temps post flushing out and the larger reservoir, with a forecast of 3-14 being 20o cooler than last time I took it out). Couple of things to mention; since I am just driving the car and not taking a support vehicle, I took the rear seats out and just loaded the back up Team Trackday style. Look at all that space! To cover off removing the rear seat....it is weird (note the hybrid is probably different because it wouldn't have folding rear seats) Basically, you remove the lower seat base, very similar to a r series but it is a clip that pulls forward to release the base rather than it being bolted down. Easy Then, you need to remove the side section of the rear seat on each side. There is a 14mm head nut at the bottom of the side piece, the it slides upwards off a hook at the top to release; you also need to unhook the seatbelt from the loop at the top. Then the centre piece is weird. You need to release/fold the seats forward with the tab in the boot on each side From there, there are 2,x12mm headed bolts holding the rear of each seat to the folding bracket, under the trim between the rear seat and the boot (4x christmas tree clips there, they suck). The seat is out but you can see where the bolts attach to the bracket
    • As discussed in the previous post, the bushes in the 110 needed replacing. I took this opportunity to replace the castor bushes, the front lower control arm, lower the car and get the alignment dialled in with new tyres. I took it down to Alignment Motorsports on the GC to get this work done and also get more out of the Shockworks as I felt like I wasn't getting the full use out of them.  To cut a very long story short, it ended up being the case the passenger side castor arm wouldn't accept the brand new bush as the sleeve had worn badly enough to the point you could push the new bush in by hand and completely through. Trying a pair of TRD bushes didn't fix the issue either (I had originally gone with Hardrace bushes). We needed to urgently source another castor arm, and thankfully this was sourced and the guys at the shop worked on my car until 7pm on a Saturday to get everything done. The car rides a lot nicer now with the suspension dialled in properly. Lowered the car a little as well to suit the lower profile front tyres, and just bring the car down generally. Eternally thankful for the guys down at the shop to get the car sorted, we both pulled big favours from our contacts to get it done on the Saturday.  Also plugged in the new Stedi foglights into the S15, and even from a quick test in the garage I'm keen to see how they look out on the road. I had some concerns about the length of the LED body and whether it'd fit in the foglight housing but it's fine.  I've got a small window coming up next month where I'll likely get a little paint work done on the 110 to remove the rear wing, add a boot wing and roof wing, get the side skirt fixed up and colour match the little panel on the tail lights so that I can install some badges that I've kept in storage. I'm also tempted to put in a new pair of headlights on the 110.  Until then, here's some more pictures from Easter this year.
    • I would put a fuel pressure gauge between the filter and the fuel rail, see if it's maintaining good fuel pressure at idle going up to the point when it stalls. Do you see any strange behavior in commanded fuel leading up to the point when it stalls? You might have to start going through the service manual and doing a long list of sensor tests if it's not the fuel system for whatever reason.
