no I am not back I am still in Korea... damm winter!!!

I'll be off to Beiruit in Lebanon as United Nation Peace keeping force Korean contigent :D

will be back in Perth next year some time :D

BTW Yes to Extractors :) hahahah

hey eug, just had a look at the design of those headers, they look mad as nice flow and high quality but i had one issue with them. The O2 sensor looks to me like it only reads from 2 of the outlets which would give it false readings and be a killer on your fuel and mabye rob some power off, it would be best for the sensor to mount in the collector just before the cat or to run muitiple sensors to get a correct reading, im not sure how much this affects the skylines, i just did a mates WRX turbo back exhaust and the O2 sensor mounted in a really crummy spot and his fuel consumption went down to like 280 kms so we had to move it and extend a few wires.

I know skylines arnt this tempremental with the O2 sensors but it might be something to look into if there is a big reported loss in fuel consumption, also in a high preformance application with tunning an after market ecu you wideband sensor probably wouldnt be as affective either

i had a look at that as well. you are correct, that is the best 'bolt out - bolt in' compromise method that they can fabricate.

ideally the gases in each pipe should be equal, it is on my to do list to suss that out. i run an SAFC2 with no dramas in fuel consumption.

yeh, i didnt think that it would have to much of an affect cause my mate shuan got some for his 32 on your first group buy and didnt mention an issue to me, just thought i'd mention it, wouldnt be to hard to re-fabricate a new mounting position, if anyone thinkin of doing it would be nice to see some before and after see if it makes any difference anywhere

  • 2 weeks later...

please check the group buy thread guys.

i've spoken to one of the guys at partsco and the order has been given a priority.

fabrication begins monday! hopefully they'll be on their way prior to xmas, no promises.

    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
    • Harness is for a s1 Rb25det, and it is engine and lower harness.  the old harness had broken off plugs and was in very rough condition/exposed wires and splices etc. it is not able to be put back on the car, I could visually inspect to see if they had rewired any pins on the ecu plug. The fuel pump definitly isn’t turning off it’s an external pump and very loud you can hear it. Will look at the other harness tonight, am also going to pull the fuel rail and watch the injectors spray, will update here with what I find. Pretty sure at this point it has to be something to do with injectors because car will fire up on starting fluid and cas is clicking the Injectors. Fuel pressure is steady 43psi
    • Check the injectors flow evenly, and are actually flowing what you and the ECU think they should be flowing. If it's starting up on starter fluid, you have a fuel issue. Is it possible under cranking your fuel pump is turning off?   The harness you replaced, is that the whole engine harness? Do yourself a test, and drop the old harness on and plug it into the Z32 ECU. It's possible they've wired things different. From memory S1 to S2 is different in RB25 and you may have a wrong loom
