Hi all,

Firstly, with the new year looming - best wishes to one and all.

Fellas, need your help, I just got my boot totally reconstructed too look flat like a R34 and I want to put a R34 wing on there as I think the R34 wing and boot (excluding the lights of the R33) looks tough. So I want best of both worlds, R33 everything but with a R34 look-a-like boot and a R34 wing. I've decided on this and will persue it in a couple of weeks.

But I'm still twisting and turning on which R34 wing to choose...

Please advise, lets call them numbers 1, 2 and 3.

Tell me what you think fellas.

Kevin

Thanks fellas... yeah, R34 wings on R33's look hot as... very nice....

At the moment, I'm leaning towards wing number 1... I think it's worth it...

I like the tough GT look... thanks fellas.

Any other pics would be much appreciated.

i say the first would suit it best or go a carbon drift wing

Yeah, looks nice mate... I think a wing like a signature look ... I want something different.

I currently have a R34 Nismo wing on but the stands 'lean outwards' which makes it look less tough... I'd prefer for it to sit straight up.

You got a side pic?

Thanks.

Option 1 for sure. You're planting ideas in my head dude :D

Ha ha ha ha... yeah that's it... I see so many GTR wings out there( nothing wrong with them) but just way too comoon, then I huffed and the puffed... so then I finally decided to go sometign totally different.

Wing 1 is tough as ah? Half GT wing and half OEM R34... looks tough... like how it sits so straight up and flips on the sides.

Love the above pic of the 34 GTR wing on the silver 33...that looks horn!!!

Either the GTR wing as pictured, or the GT style imo.

Maybe those handy with photoshop could help you out Kevin??

Last night on Lygon street I seen a black r33 with the standard r34 GTT spoiler, looked awsome az! I rekon do that!!

Also, outter all the wings you got up, i say option 1 for sure!

Thanks mate, yeah - I think I'll go option one .. just has the nice upstanding look with a nice blend of GT and gtr look.

Thanks.

Yeah, I agree the R34 GTR wing on a R33 looks hot as ... yeah for sure, someone with Adobe Photoshop skills would be great... as I'm shocking at it.... :(

    • Just a thought, was that car and auto at any point of its life? If so, maybe whoever bridged the inhibitor switch/circuit did a not so good job.
    • Wife wanted basket things in the wardrobe in our temporary house. Thought about ripping our the wardrobe and fitting the entire IKEA set, but it's a temporary house and we want to move in a few years. So IKEA advertises this as a 50cm unit, however the actually basket and rails measure 46cm wide. Only issue was depth, IKEA stuff is quite deep, where as the builder special junk is super shallow at less than 40cm. Send it, chopped the rails, then offset the mounting holes, job done, happy wife, less shit scattered all over the bedroom. Did the same to the other side too. Also drove the Skyline shit box today, dropped off oil at Supercheap Auto. I didn't realise they only now take max 2x bottles per visit. I visited 2x Supercheap Autos.
    • I've seen similar actually in my situation. You never know what tables are attempted to be used when the car thinks it's -99C or +200C. The fail state is not usually that extreme but you know what I mean - it was in my case though! This is where being able to read all the sensors is useful cause you see this stuff really quickly.
    • The above is very important. However as long as you keep timing relatively low, it's plausible to make your own knock ears and plausible to learn to tune with a modern ECU that can do wideband O2 correction like a boost controller. I mean if you only have one viable road to even drive the car on, learning to tinker to this level may be worth doing given you can't do much else with the car...?
    • I find the fact that the rear plate has to be bent inwards at the rear not so bad: but the front is just awful: It's like come on. (these are my very old, now retired/turned in plates) TBH it is a lot of money to fix a minor issue, the fact I said "I'll never really spend the money on doing this" is why people ended up buying them as a gift for a 'car guy' who can be hard to shop for.. for car guy things.
