nismo themostate is the best!!! and good price

150 bucks is far to dear for a 62 deg thermostate just cause its got a nismo sticker on im not paying for wank value .

im sure there are other 62 deg thermo made by other companys that will work exactley the same . i dont see nismo thermostates stuck in every nissan ever made. i will go thru the catalogs from our suppliers when im at the workshop next

Why do you want a 62 degree thermostat? That's too low a temperature for maximum power or minimum engine wear or maximum fuel economy.

cheers for that gary

i thought if i got one that opened a bit earlier it might help with my cars prob of running to hot in hilly areas on 40 deg plus days . how ever i just pulled my old one out and stuck it in a saucepan on the stove it did fully open but the water was almost boiling b4 it started to move at all .

so i suspect the one thats in there is not playing the game right atm it is a standed nissan one 76.5 so i think i will replace it with the same type as the one i just pulled out

thanks for your advice

gary, what is the best temp? I am getting a constant 91 deg, doesn't matter how cold it is outside... and on hot days it goes up to ~95-98... I am used to my other car running at ~80deg, what is optimum for the stag?

Ours usually runs mid 80's normal driving and high 80's when pushed. Time for a radiator flush perhaps? Or maybe a debug, ours was a bit clogged with dead insects last summer.
