Im just thinking of making a new key from lock smith.. since its very expencive to get it done from japan with a chip.. no one is sure if my car has a transplant or sumthing like chip in it... does anyone know? VB- Posted January 2, 2008 Share Posted January 2, 2008 from memory there should be a number somewhere on the car (inside a door or something) that you can give to a locksmith and he should be able to make you a key, i remember some one lost the key for their car, however i think it was for an old (80's) toyota, so might not apply in this case? I got a spare done and it works just fine i used one of these but any blank key will work.... I hope thats what you wanted to know. sen Posted January 3, 2008 Author Share Posted January 3, 2008 Thankx guys....... ye you guys are ryt, there is no chip, i made a new key and it works fine. nissan dealer told me it has a chip and the only way to get it is from japan. and he asked almost $500 for it. lucky i didnt go for it. thankx again guys....
