hey mate,

what led's did u use for dash lights... i brought sum of the proper blue t10's (think thats what they are called) from 666DAN on here but only worked for a week or so and now none of my dash gauges light up (only warning lights and indicators do so).....

thinking it may be faulty dash clucter tho

bought them on ebay @ 20 bucks, they are the ones with about 5 little LEDs on the t10. 2 of them just stuffed up the other day and im looking into making some new ones myself which can handle the voltage, i'll let u know how I go.

Nice dash lights but not a big fan on the glitter interior. Just a suggestion, if you have the spare cash perhaps a new steering wheel. Im looking into getting one probably momo but not sure which model as yet, any suggestions ppl?

In re to 666Dan leds, originally he was supplying Leds that handle only 12volts of current but after a few complaints from ppl stating their lights would randomly flash & then eventually die in the ass he investigated the matter and discovered the dash voltage level in the skylines would randomly fluctuate. He now supplies 16volts leds which i have recently installed & so far so good but it's only been a week, so finger's crossed. Blue leds rock!

Nice work mate! Unique. I have the blue 5LED globes and none of mine work atm....they come on randomly but I havent had a full cluster in ages! Cobalt gauge selection tops it off. I wouldnt go changing steering wheel, I like the stock one, besides, jus as an example, here in Mildura I hear of people being done for not having an impact material on their wheels and replacing the airbag is a big no-no. Ur call tho. Do I see AVS rims under your car??

Once again, great to see individual tastes and ideas, even if they arnt everyones cup of tea!

Yeah, thanx mate. U can't c in the photos but at night under the proper light u can see my purple pearl through the clear which i put on top of the glitter spray ( the photos were done via my phone so they don't look right). Anyway I got the autometer cobalt series because they were the only gauge that matched the stock cluster and i wanted the needle in the gauge to be lit, but little did i know that they lit up blue at night, so i had to change my cluster lights cuz i hate it when they don't blend in. PS. those are AVS shoes u c, but will be white 19" Enkei soon i hope..

Well, it's RICE... however, I have to say, you tastefully 'riced' up your car. LEDS are nice and make the car look clean and sporty in my opinion whereas the consoles and glitter etc are your opinion so don't let anyone tell you what you should or should not do - -personal taste.

Overall, nice... I'll PM you as I need new dash LEDS and might need your help - I'm from Melbourne too.

Looks good Steve,

How did you take the drivers door control panel off? I've resprayed my dash a matt black, and now need to do the door handle bit.

Hi, thanx. U need to look in the coin hole and u'l see a little black cap at the bottom, take the cap off with a small flathead screwdriver (from the right hand side) and u'l see a screw under that. Unscrew that and then you can yank it off, don't be afraid to use a little force because its clipped in aswell. Same goes for the passenger side.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
