Guys,

Took the ceff out for a decent spin around my area today, found a few things wrong

and help would be awesome.

1) powersteering is on and off

theres no leaks, has plenty of fluid, belt is good.

either the rack or the pump is dying?

What can be used to replace the stuff items from other models of nissan?

2) Missing /spluttering on boost

Running a gt2535, new platnuim plugs, gapped correctly, everything seems ok.

might be down a coilback?

keeeping in mind that its running a stock ecu

any idea's?

3) strange idle

doesnt want to idle, then it does, then it does at 1500rpm.

Im sure ive red something about the acc valve in here.

Cheers :P

pretty sure its the rack in the car Dan, ive changed the pump, checked belts, bled the lines etc, the only thing i was going to do was change the rack and the ends. should sort it out, but before i got it all running the power steering used to only work once the car had warmed up, weird. also, S13 rack is what they have, but get an S14, aparently a little extra lock :D

not sure about the missing on boost, never had a prob, but that was with stocko turbo (stock ECU) and also with a 2530 HKS running PFC.

Idle, not sure, something to do with the Acc valve, i think softy unpluged it and it idled fine, so not really sure. only happened after we swapped over the engine, but we used all the same accecories, used the same loom etc. was stumped on that one, maybe an auto elec can shed some light. maybe try cleaning the idle control valve as it was sitting around for a few months before i got time to do the swap?

good luck with it! i miss sliding the old girl now :) currently looking for a new car to pig out :)
