OldSilver
R33 series2 80K's stock airfilter, cat back jap exhust, boost solenoid by-passed (boost limited by pipe restrictor to 7psi). Stock air filter, no apparent air leaks. Had car a couple of weeks, idled at about 550rpm, runs dead smooth idles smooth, accelerates well, no misfiring, running on shell V-power 98RON - but randomly stops at idle. Increased idle by turning screw on AAC valve 1/2 turn, now idles at around 700rpm - bugger! still cuts out usually waiting at lights (live in Adelaide - so car spends most of it's time waiting at traffic lights!) starts again straight away though and returns to 700rpm, so don't know whats going on. Anyone got any ideas why? Thought I'd strip the AAC valve and clean it with carb cleaner to see if that does any good. Might be good idea to check the plugs also what do ya reckon? Has anyone else had this problem? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/217457-r33-engine-cutting-out/ Share on other sites
