Hi guyssss

im thinking of buying this R34 GTT.it has few mods like

Hks intercooler

hks boost controller

hks pod filer

hks cat back exaust.

power FC

there are some paint fading away in body kit.. i think he did a cheap job. so im gona have to re spray it..

how much it will roughly cost me to repray just the body kit. or is it worth repraying the whole car? big money difrents?

the car is currently not tuned. the owner stating the car will make more than 216 rwkw for sure in safeboost, and he is evevn willing to put it down in the contract??

for the stock turbo.. isnt it a bit too much?

if anyone kindah know anythink.. please just putting down.. anything will help.

thanks for your time guys...

and its a yellow car, which used to have a number plate "ulive-1"

maybe sum of you know this car. he livs in boxhill now...

Sounds like he has quality mods, which is always a good start. Not China crap

Spraying always costs a bit, but since its just the body kit, shouldn't be more than $1k. If the paint is fine on the rest, don't worry about it, just get the kit done. Not too cluey on colours, but some colours cost more due to difficulty to match and/or metallic etc. Whole car will cost you minimum $2.5k if you have a friend who will do it for cash on the weekend or something. Probably more like $3-3.5k.

That power doesn't sound too much for a stock turbo at all. With those mods, he's probably uped the boost to about 12psi. That is fine with the stock turbo, but I wouldn't take it much further. It can handle more, but then you're starting to push it a bit hard.

What does he mean by not tuned? has he had the power fc recently installed?

is the car making that power now or does he think that would be the figure after a tune.

Make sure you look at the condition of the brakes and suspension and the general condition of the engine bay

suspension you can look at the condition of the rubber boots eg. to get an idea of it's current condition.

thankx guys.....

i havnt got much experiance in chking all the suspension and stuff. but im gona take it a "cheaser" sopme full quality performanc machanic to do a full check up on the car before buying it.

he said he was making 200rwkw without the power fc. but he didnt tune the car yet after putting the power fc.and the machanic told him the car will make arnd 220rwkw with power fc.

lol i was looking at buying that car.. your details say you already got an r34 GTT???

yeah with those mods you will get somewhere between the 200 and 220 rwkw.. but it is advised to get the car tuned asap with the pfc installed.. dont turbo or be heavy footed as much as possible..

    • Nope.    Grab a varex and turn it down as you get close to home, win win?
    • So, I've had my V36 for about a month now and have already copped an "excessive exhaust noise" notification from QLD TMR, reported by someone in my local area. It's a twin as per the original, and can have a bit of a throaty note to it when idling cold 😄 and if I do get up it a bit, it can be noisy, but it did pass a roadworthy inspection before sale, so.... ... but in the interest of being a good neighbour, I do want to quieten it down a bit. Is anyone here running a quiet aftermarket cat-back on their V36 or 370Z? And the big, bold question: does an aftermarket cat-back really make much of a performance difference on these cars?
    • The wiring diagram for the R33 RB25 is freely available, and is essentially the same same as most other RBs (just with differences as to which pin # does which job). To get the ECU to power up, you just need to provide power to the ECCS relay, and have the other power feeds that come in from the top left of the wiring diagram (wrt the ECU) that give perma power to the fuel pump relay, the ECU itself, etc etc, all connected. When you put power on all these it will just come to life. It's pretty clear from the diagram what needs to happen. Just follow the lines from the 12V + supply stuff in the top left over towards the ECU. I've even posted snips of such diagrams (not for vanilla 25, I think for Neo and 26) to various threads here in the last few months, talking about what it takes to get the fuel pump and FPCM up and going. Search these up and they will help get you started on doing the same with the vanilla 25 diagram. Hell, for all I know, I've done the same with that one in years past and have forgotten.
    • Yep...so unless someone posts up the answer you will need to probe from the ECU connector to the dash plug with a multi meter in continuity mode to trace the wires.  Note the ECU has multiple - and + (and across different key settings - Battery, IGN and Start) and most likely the power is fed from the connector(s) that is normally near the left hand headlight.
    • Thanks Duncan, I am actually just trying to get the Rb turning and running with the RB25DET S2 original loom itself  I am just trying to get it going outside the body and not thinking about the S15 or trying to match anything to the S15 loom at all I am only trying to see if anyone has done this and what pin they found to be the ignition trigger and ECU+/- on the dash connector, that's about it. Thanks
