ok boys and girls ive decided i wanna sell my 1600 project, i only picked it up a few months ago for $3600, unforuently ive decided to let it go as i wanna get back into drifting

The Car

1971 Datsun 1600, twin Carb'd L20b with a 260z 5 speed

The Good

monroe shocks

king springs

selby sway bars front and rear

braided brake lines

single piece tail shaft

most original pieces

half roll cage with harness bar, all base plates and bolts

The bad

Front brake pads need replacing (have new ones in the boot though)

One of the rear tyres is flat (to slack to change it)

the dash is currently out of the car and will need reinstalling

most of the interior is just sitting in place

drivers side head lights and grill need reinstalling

the bodys a little rough (ill let the pictures do the talking)

no carpet

as for price im only chasing $2800, but preferably id like a swap for a silvia/180/r32 shell or a sprinter

      What are you thinking makes a sequential shit to drive on the street? About the ONLY thing I can think of, is if you're wanting to be able to roll up to lights in third or second and pop it straight into neutral, or you want to come down two or three gears, say out of 5th and back to second, but they shift quick enough it doesn't really matter

      I'm not a drag racing guy, but that was a good watch. Didn't Ibrahim's car have some cooch! But the big question is....WTF is with so many of them running without seatbelts!

      Well that is not a sign of good quality..  Understand, but not so nice to drive on the street I suppose and out of my price range..

      I recently got myself a 1989 r32 GT-R and it has some slight smokiness from the exhaust and misfires sometimes when coming off the throttle. I'm looking for a good mechanic in the Brisbane region who will do a good job on it. It'll need a diagnosis, and most likely an engine rebuild with refurb/stock parts (not looking for a motorsport build... yet). If anyone has done something like this before/knows stuff about this in terms of who can do it and how much it cost, I'd like to hear about it. I was looking on the forum and I found some posts from 2020 that were similar to this, but it has been a while since then so if anyone has any updated info that would be great.  I'm also new to the forum so if this topic should be in a different place please let me know. Thanks in advance!
