got you covered.... my rb25 cluster is just sitting there. it comes with cyber stork white-faced tacho (you can remove it), and carbon trim to cover the auto gear lights (also removable). the only dowside is the fuel guage: it reads 1/2 tank when empty, and I'm not sure how to recalibrate it (but the fuel light is accurate). make me an offer: it's yours....

Hey Micah,

Sounds good but can you explain a little more? it has white dials across the board? or is it just the tacho thats white? The issue i have is that all i need really is the speedo dial as the i have the RB26 the redline is at 8 not 7something so if i can get a hold of a black one to match mine that would be more suited...

If u can show me a photo that would be even better

Cheers

Ask and you shall receive! Remember the white guage is just a sleev, and can be removed at will.

Note: the carbon trim is now sold, so will no longer be included. I realise a RB26 cluster is preferable, and I was looking for one myself..... The only one I could find was the Dolphin one I bought for over $1000. It's not to say you won't find one, just that it will take time...

That said, it was worth the wait, in my opinion: I got a 10000rpm tacho, and a 300km/h speedo: the entire cluster was remanufactured by Dolphin, so was in perfect condition, and had an odometer reading of 0km...

Hope that helps!

Micah

sorry, dont mean to steal your thread but if you have some organised and someone still has a s1 dash cluster, please let me know, speedo and revs have gone sticky, cheers

  • 2 weeks later...

Well got the guages fixed today... problem 1. The odo is out by 30,000 kms which kinda sucks but ill look around at one closer to my kms when i come to sell the car. Problem 2. the guage faces (black bits) have colour on the back of them so when a plain light is shown from the back they look a certain colour, mine were orange the one micah gave me are blue... meh

Its fixed now, everything works just as it should so im not really worried about the blueish tinge at night on the speed hopefully ill get the speed hut EL glow faces happening soon and then it will look sssooo sweeet  and i will have had plenty of practice in installing and removing the cluster.

    • What Duncan said sounds right. Also, it looks like they only have the driver's mat. Not the rest. Because looking at the diagram: KG4911 is just the mat for the driver. KG4900 is the full set if I'm not mistaken and discontinued.   But, it looks like they may still have the full set for the manual S2. Might be worth checking for the other models as well as they seem slightly different. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/epc/nissan-japan/stagea/wgnc34/6649-rb25det/misc/G49 Man, I'm tempted.
    • I dunno about that as a blanket statement. Pitwork is Nissan's "Nissan genuine" thing, and for stuff like timing belts, I have found them to be excellent. Of course, for things like oil filters, you always use proper trusted brands anyway, not whatever the OEM has taken to using.
    • Ahhhh... If you were putting 12V to the led in there, that's likely made it very unhappy. Chances are how you put power, was 12V across an LED that's meant to only have about 20mA through it at peak, and a forward voltage of about 1.8 to 2.4 volts. That circuit is likely only a 3V3 circuit, and will have a resistor in series with the led too. That's my guesstimate on that light, without having touched one.
    • Another vote for installing them and see how you go.  I mean, you already own them, why would you not fit them?
    • I have had too many of those over the years, my cars have a toolkit or at minimum a cheapy multi tool thing because its too easy to be snookered by some stupid plastic clip that stops you checking the battery terminal isn't loose.
