Genuine Autech Version

People, was wondering if anyone owns a genuine Autech model and if they do could they tell me the car's VIN number so I can look it up on the nissan FAST program?

How can you tell, stupid question i know, but mine has a full Autech kit and a 280km/ph speedo and was factory maunal

I've heard if you type the VIN into fast, and the car is an autech model, a dialog box displays "This is an autech model"

I've seen the guys talk about it when they "fast" their autech stagea's and S15's

Can I see a photo of your 280km/hr dash? I haven't seen one for a cefiro before

The engine has a "Tuned by autech" badge on the top of the inlet manifold (just behind the throttle body), where a normal RB20 has the ECCS badge.

I would also guess that a genuine autech model would have plastic skirts and bumpers as opposed to fibreglass copies.

Ah well mine is probably not an Autech model, the engine isnt the original one though, was changed in japan to an RB20DET, did the Autech models come out with a RB20DE? Vin is A31-007166

Yea i didnt think it would be an Autech ceffy, one could only hope though Still strange about the dash however, anyone else seen a 280km/ph one before?

Thanks for the comments guys, i hate blowing my own horn so to speak but its still in really good condition, im not sure about the 280 dash, the car came with it from japan, i actually though i broke it the other day but it turned out to be the speedo cable *phew*. I had the vented guards put on a few years ago (paid $300 for them from viva garage/e-bay) but i dont really like them as they dont sit as perfect as the stocky ones did (anyone want to buy my vented ones lol).

It's an Autech series 1 rear bumper and side skirts, and series 2 front bumper.

I've seen many cefiros with autech kits but they were all fibreglass, unlike the R32skylines M-spec kit, there were that many available I don't think anyone would bother making a fibreglass copy when they can source a genuine plastic kit.
