Hey guys

Been having a few problems with squeeing brakes

Turns out the previous owner of my car has removed all the backing plates/anti squeel shims and had installed some lucas pads which use a sticky pad on the back, i have now bought some brand new endless pads which i installed without the backing plates because i dont have any, this has made the squeeling 10x worse.

I bought a set of 2nd hand brake plates for the front (nissan wanted to charge me $180 for a brand new front set, dont know how they can try and charge that much for a little peice of tin) and will be installing these soon, but i have a question

Do the rears use the same type of thin metal brake plate as the front? i took mine apart and all mine have is a little thin u shaped peice of metal that clips onto the inside of the caliper, it dosent go in between the pistons and the pad.

So do the rears only use this thin u shaped peice of metal or am i missing the rear brake plates too?

Any help would be great!

Cheers
