Bakes
Hi guys, Im going to buy 19x9.5 inch wheels. My GTR is used as a daily driver so it is pretty much used full time for street. I dont really need race track performance. I just want a good all weather tyre which is good for street use. Which ones out of the 3 I have listed should I buy? Comments from people using any I have listed would be great. Thanks heaps Edited July 10, 2008 by Bakes Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/227549-toyo-proxes-4-kumho-ecsta-ku31spt-or-nankang-ns2/ Share on other sites
GTR-N1
Judging from other threads - and getting bang for your bucks for street use... Toyo Proxes 4 seems to be terrific for i) dry (around 8/10) ii) wet (around 7.5/10) iii) longevity (around 8.5/10) iv) cornering (around 8/10) Kumhos apparently wear out quickly. I don't mind alternative views. For instance RE001 Adrenalins are also good Nankangs may not corner as well but their aftersales service and warranty from head office to the tyre shop is second to none. They replaced an NS II on my Prelude no questions asked and no answers doubted. Cheers, T PS My son has Bridgestone RE001 & is most happy wet or dry. I've still got the original RE 01 but am about to get Proxes 4 soon Edited July 10, 2008 by Terry_GT-R34 Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/227549-toyo-proxes-4-kumho-ecsta-ku31spt-or-nankang-ns2/#findComment-4006399 Share on other sites
Psymon
I am using toyo proxes 4 on my 32 and they are an awesome tyre. I had nankang ns2 on the rear for a while but they were absolutely terrible in the rain. Tomek
Highly recommend the Proxes.. Have them on my gtr... Grip in the dry on the road is phenomenal I've tracked it with these tires and with a bit of care have managed to do very well with them cutting past semi-slick equipped Evo's. When i flick the switch to RW with a nice soft launch i have traction through 1st (80% throttle) through 2nd with my foot down flat to the floor.
