exxr
Hey, This is so stupid that i had to post it. Someone stole the grill off my series 2 on Sunday night while it was parked in my carport. I was there and heard stuff but didn't realize what was happening until i saw it on Monday morning. I mean for f9cks sake who does this shit? who goes around looking for cars that they can take parts off? like they can't afford to spend 150 bucks?? WTF? wasn't even carbon or anything and my car is stock as a rock. so anyway this was in churchlands if anyone wants more detail (or has details) please pm me. i am suspicious of a dark wrx that i had not seen before which was parked in the visitors bays that night. and i heard them come and go around the time i heard strange noises outside.. just a heads up for you all who don't have your cars garaged Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231901-stolen-grill/ Share on other sites
Tomei_33
can that be done without damaging the car/grill? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231901-stolen-grill/#findComment-4070943 Share on other sites

-Dukes-
Most just pull out cause the clips on them are rooted. but if the clips work you would have to lay down and put your arm up through the bottom of the bumper. can that be done without damaging the car/grill? Dani Boi
Far out, they must have had really small hand to get the grill off if the bonnet was down, those grills are a pain to get off if the clips aren't broken. exxr
yeah i'm not sure if the clips were broken from before or not. no real damage done to the car apart from a couple of scratches on the bumper and since i have no FMIC that would make it easy to stick the hand up to reach it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231901-stolen-grill/#findComment-4071185 Share on other sites

NWR31
i park my hr31 in the city. as i was leaving the carpark i realised my indicators were playing up. i though a bulb had just blown, i got home to find a front indicator (rectangle one in the bumper) was missing completely, not just the lens the whole lot including wires & plug! r31jspec from r31 forums had a spare he gave me for free Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231901-stolen-grill/#findComment-4071480 Share on other sites

exxr
well..got another grill - $100 turns out that they did break one of the stays on the light fitting that it clips in to. probably couldn't be arsed un-clipping it and just yanked the shit off. it was a new light as well. wasn't pissed off at first but now it's really hit me how lame this is and the trouble i have to go to fix it. what losers if i ever catch the fu4kers i'll rip their eyes out Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/231901-stolen-grill/#findComment-4073161 Share on other sites

-Dukes-
Might look into ways to secure it on, with allan key bolts or something. Pretty sad when you have to theif proof your grill. mrsparkle
This sort of stuff happens more than you might think - my Aunt has a lx ss hatch she has owned it since new. While it was in a parking garage in the city where she works she had her side mirrors stolen!
