poped the bonnet of this car, and found (jus like the fast n furiuos) 2JZ-GE, minus the turbos of coz.

but yea, dunno nothing about toyota, but is this the supra or soara engine?

Does anyone kno the specs of the lexus 2JZ-GE? it has VVTi

and doesn't go that bad for such a heavy car.

Is it just the same as a non turbo supra, juss stamped lexus with VVTi...?

It redlines at 6000rpm i think. is that the same with supra?

Ditto... Sort of... Maybe not all the way out... :D

I want both!

RE the GS300: Don't know the specs but this was Lexus Australia's "performance" car when it was released...

The lexus GS300 is a very nice car... a very nice transmission on those cars. You will also find the IS300 and a 2jz in it to. A supra engine in an IS300 would turn me of skylines forever :stupid:

the Gs300's are 166kw@ 6000rpm and 298nm @ 4000rpm and about 1680kg. IS300 are 157kW @ 5800rpm and 288Nm @ 3800rpm but are about 150kg lighter

    • Like others have said, drop the power to give your drivetrain a % of reliability until you can up the drivetrain reliability  It isn't rocket science, build power to the weakest link with a % of safety Whilst upping the the reliability of the drive train is costly, there's no point in having the engine make big power if it keeps eating the drivetrain....ask me how I know, I had the tow truck on speed dial for a few years, and I spent huge amounts of money fixing issues and breakages that really would have been cheaper in the long run if I did it right the first time Me, I like a nice sized fudge factor, that keeps me off the tow truck
