autobacs is cool if you just want to have a look because they've got so much stock in there, it's like a dream come true.i heard that the tokyo bay superautobacs is the best one to go to (huge!). but if you actually want to buy...errr...pretty damn expensive!

depending on which part of tokyo you're going to, and if you're willing to travel a bit, another shop that's worth visiting is a shop in Chiba called Crystal. i've been there and they're not lying when they advertise themselves as the biggest tuning shop (in size) in all of Japan! i can give you the address of it if you want.

if you're actually looking for bargain parts, then i would have to say, go to a used parts shop. but being used parts, it's a bit of a gamble as they might not have anything for your car and would have been a waste of travelling time

    • Don't even try to run it on the stock ECU if you're going to have the boost controller bring boost above ~10 psi. I've already told you that. If you use the Nistune ECU, you will need to CAREFULLY read the available documentation for Neo tuning, and read some threads on the Nistune forums, to discover the various things you have to do to prevent the ECU from going bananas when the boost is too high. The is a table associated with th boost sensor that must be modified to prevent it from shitting the bed. This is just one of the things that you will need to do to the tune in Nistune, because the Neo turbo ECU will be expecting to see a number of things (such as the TCS) that are not there, and you have to block the DTCs on those. It is totally not surprising to me that you are having the problems that you are, but the solutions to these problems have been known for >15 years. So just get it done.
