For the price you can get better.

As already mentioned in this thread.

A bloke I know also had his ceramic Extreme weld/stick to the flywheel. :P

He was told it was because he was driving it hard and then turning the car off soon after which was a load of crap.

He would launch it. Clutch would stick and he would be left decelerating either between first trying to grab second or second trying to grab third. Not to healthy for the gearbox/motor. :S

Not all the time but enough of the time to be concerned.

Grab a tried and proven genuine exedy. There's also been good reports with those NPC clutches.

I really don't like the Extreme for the cost of their clutches alone. :S

I want to get a fairly decent clutch that isn't too hard for driveability but that can still take a hammering at about 200-220kw.

Money aside, Is a twin plate a good idea for me (they're softer arn't they?) or reckon I can get away with a single?

Ok, if u think it's a good idea. But is it gonna be heavy as? Is my left leg gonna become twice the size of my right? Well I do push that accelerator pretty hard so I might be alright.

By the way sled, thanks for trying to sort out the hoodie sutuation. Ur a champ! If u need anything don't hesitate to ask!

if you had approx 100kw more I'd say go for a twin plate but at 220kw you're around the same power as Steve (Madaz) so go with his ceramic group buy thingy.

Pete even 100KW more than im making and its still good for its rated to 350RWkw man

it may take a week for your leg to get used to it i drove one in a mates GTR for an evening and was used to it in 10-15 mins but ive been driving a lot longer and are on my 2nd HD clutch granted it is only 850kg pressure plate

yeah ill try and do the leg work tomorrow

ill add the aforementioned clutch in post #2 ill ask for the next clutch up that's the $900+ one for the GTR and double check twin plate prices and rebuild prices and see minimum quantities

i am taking Jema to the Show tomorrow also so i have to be diligent with my time

mine was slipping bad and now cant even get a gear.... i might need one that can hold a bit more grunt tho than 300-350kw

go post in the GB thread i didnt bother getting a price for his 10' clutch but can if your interested the 10' one is this

>>HERE<<>>$1023<<

incase anyone cares the car is in at extreme now, for a little bit more than the group buy price i got a 6 puk extra heavy duty button, chromeoly flywheel and replacement of the spiggot bearings/bush blah blah for around that price, if you want extra info about who installn it or whatever then pm, be happy to help

yeah for there $690 Xtreme clutch i would rather one of NPC's i've had 2 Xtreme clutches and there not that extreme i know a lot of disappointed customers too a lot are happy a lot disappointed that is all i'm saying

i can vouch for the clutches that madaz arranged as im the bloke that fitted it into oz_pommy r 33 his car has 250 kw at the rear wheels and this clutch grips like a turd on a hairy arse . its very drivable a little heavier on the pedal than standed but great value for money and does the job .

if you want too blow for bucks on a "brand name " just for bragging rights go right ahead if ya want too save some bucks and have something that works great then have a word to madaz.

cheers mid life crisis

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
    • You can use your VIN to look up the factory part number somewhere like amayama, and then look to order new if necessary. https://www.amayama.com/en/genuine-catalogs/nissan Depending on price you might want to rebuild instead. @GTSBoy I had an interesting insight into US market parts when the Titan rear calipers were sticking. New calipers were dirt cheap, about 20% more than a rebuild kit....they are just considered throw away maintenance items
