Just a quick question.

Got a few hassles with my car *again*

Something is wrong. Took it to Fulcrum today to get a wheel alignment and they had a little device on the brake for over an hour. Now. When they guy went to start it the alarm just started making noises and chucked a fit (I turned it off by the little key) and once i had turned the alarm off.. when you turn the key, all the lights come on but theres nothing when you turn the key. Absolutely nothing.. We clutched it and it started and we went for a drive. When we got back and turned it off it still wouldn't start. So gathering this today we bought a new battery.

We *think* the battery is dead.

Now my question is:

Is there any special trick with taking our rear strut brace off to get to the battery? I just don't want to break anything else. We have a GTR rear end in it so I'm guessing the strut bar is the same as one in a GTR??

A pic is attached. I know theres bolts and stuff on it to take off.. I just dont want anything else to break. This is enough. I'm soo sick of having things wrong with the car!

yeah No problems!,

just undo them with a socket set (i think from memory it is a 10?), they just screw right in (the nut is welded to the bracket so you can't loose it from memory), and don't loose the bolt :D

then remove the trim, and if you have the black panel behind it, remove around 10 bolts, from the floor, sides, middle section etc... and the steel panel should just pull out, battery etc is just behind it..

it is quite easy, no tricky bits that pop off and get lost etc.. putting back is the reverse, just make sure you put the sway bar the right way up ( i let a friend put mine back one day and days later there was a rattling noise, the dodgy bastard had it on upside down and hadn't fully tightened the bolts )

good luck!
