Hi guys,

I'm having this problem with my clutch since i got my car converted to manual tranny early this yr.

I'm driving a 2dr 1999 ER34 Gtt auto.

Converted to manual, using most likely a R33 5speed manual tranny. Clutch pump i guess should be from R33 also..

I have currently installed a ATS Triple Plate carbon clutch which is meant for ER34 Gtt rb25det and not R33, been driving for at least 9 months...

Problems i'm facing:

1) Clutch is very soft, its practically like a normal clutch... Bite is ok, no slipping but somehow feels the pressure is not there.

2) Happens twice, on a very hot day, after idling in the sub, the clutch suddenly hardens up, biting point also becomes very high, nearly to the end of release then bite. Normally is beginning of release. After letting the car cool down, pressure returns to normal soft.

I believe the clutch should be at least hard to have the right amount of pressure. But somehow it does not happen. Could the problem be with the R33 tranny? OR the clutch pump giving problems? Or what could be it?

Need some help here guys..

Regards,

Mig
