friend of mine passed away 2 nights ago, he was driving his 4 door 33 when he lost control in kingsley on hepburn ave and hit into 2 cars head on which instantly took away his life. he was an old friend from school and the 20 years he spent with family and friends will be missed dearly. Raise your bottle/glass if your having a drink.

Rest in Peace corey..you will forever be missed my friend

Yeah, i just saw the thread..

sad that his life had to end so soon, he never did drink/drive or drove like an idiot. Was one of the most sensible drivers and he just bought his 33 not long ago. It's f**ked up that the papers never mentioned anything about him having to swerve for a pedestrian which was the cause of the accident.

    • The best part is when you own the car long enough that you look back and find your OWN ham fisted amateur shit!
    • The annoying part about neglect, is when you start to replace one thing, and find ten more broken things. Ham fisted monkey repairs you normally only find out about when trying to do something unrelated! Ha ha   Neglect you can kind of anticipate the huge costs to fix it all. Ham fistedness is normally a shock the first time your work on a new old car, as everything "looked" good before.
    • For DBA, check out their guide table here. https://dba.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2023/01/Direct_Replacement-Guide-2021.2.pdf   Additionally they have some other guides and info on how to make sure you choose the right pad.
    • Sorry, just assumed that talk of coloured pads meant EBC red/green/yellow/shit stuff. I don't know the DBA pads, but it's a reasonable bet that they will be OK. DBA make good stuff generally. Those 4000 series rotors I linked to are very good. I may well replace the RDA rotors I have with those when required.
    • The average previous owner for these cars were basically S-chassis owners in the US. Teenagers or teenager-adjacent. I often tell people that neglect is easier to fix than something that was actively "repaired" by previous owners.
