I purchased a pair of Ganador Mirrors from a member of this forum (MissTara). When it arrived it was pulled apart (mirror housing, mirror glass, screws, mount, spring, wires) plus the paint was f*ked even though she said the paint was in good condition.

After I got it sanded back and repainted by a local panel place, I couldn't fixure out how to put it

together. I can figure out how to place the mirrored glass into the mirror housing, but I can't figur out how to attach the springs from the side mount frame to the mirror housing.

If anyone can help that would be great!

Pulled a set apart myself a while ago. There should be 1/8 dowel pins that hold the springs in place on the base. Pull the springs through the holes in the base plate and slide the pins into the loops at the end.

I noticed that there were loop wires coming from inside the springs. What I tried to do was loop the wire through the hook on the tip of the springs, then pull the looped wire through the hole on the base plate. Then put the 1/8 dowels through the wire...

Did you pull the wire through or did you pull the spring throught the hole, cos I dont think the hook on the spring can go through the hole?

Either way I can't find a way to pull the wire/spring through the hole because its way to small (hole is about 4mm in diameter). How did you do it?

Pretty sure it was both the loop on the spring and the wire. Was really fiddly to do.

The wire is in place more to stop the spring from over streatching, or if the spring fails.

Wow are you serious? I purchased the same mirrors from "MissTara" on the 13th of December and have been waiting ever since... She stopped communication some time ago and has been avoiding my repeated emails pm's and sms's sounds like a dodgy one to me... I finally ended threatening her boyfriend with action from the police on Christmas Eve and have just found the refunded amount show up in my bank account today.

This sort of shit sucks and wrecks it for everyone

I have done some serous research on these tools if you are after any info on them drop me a pm

When did you purchase them cause she told me she sent them to me on the 14th and then 2 weeks later said Australia post lost them and then told me she had them back at her place and last communication I had with them was that the put them in the post addressed to me on the 21st December

She told me the paint was great too...

I know Synergy Motorsport in SA had a set of black ones in store (the ones i pulled apart, cleaned) but then found out that 'NO' the do not fit on a sedan, bit of a shame that!

:(

Looks like she tried to screw you over. I got the mirrors on the 26th of November after waiting over 1week for them to be sent.

Basically there were bubbles on both mirrors surfaces. It looked like someone had put a heatgun on the paint to force it to dry faster. The parts of the paint that was good had a few scratches on it. Both pieces of the frame were pulled apart and the glass of the mirror detached from the frame. I sent her a msg telling her i was not happy with the POS if got but never got a reply.

This is basically the 2nd time within 6mths that I have been screwed over by ppl selling parts on the forum. The other guy was from Melbourne and was protected by a Melb admin because he was a Melb club member. The f*ker tool 3mths to send my injectors and blamed it on aus post. When it eventually arrived it was dated 2 days ahead. So I call BS on the "aus post lost it" excuse.

As for me trying put the mirrors together... I just dont have the tools to do it. It looks like I have to look the wire over the hook of the spring, then pull it through then 3mm (or 4mm) hole.

Thanks for helping SNISMO. I'll try and take a few pics and post it on here. Did you mirros come with a manual which tells you how to put it together if its been pulled apart?

    • Stock ECU (or more accurately stock tune) absolutely refuses to go over 10psi and behaves like you have seen. The Nistune is the same if it is the stock tune. If the Nistune chip has been tuned, the resulting tune could be literally anything for any combination of parts. The Nistune just makes the stock ECU Tunable.
    • So stock ECU does not like anything above 10 psi?  That Nistune one is just for "try" if it will be any different, I know it need to be tune for that. I know but YOU may know about these problem but i/we dont. They few little Skylines here let alone people who know anything about tham so that is why iam asking here
    • So now we have a radiator with no attachments whatsoever. It lifts up with a particularly tight spot between the drivers side air box mount and the lower radiator outlet, but if you've got this far you will sort that too. This is the lower mounts with the rad out so you can see where the rubber bushes go, it is a straight shot upwards Done! Assembly is the reverse of disassembly, with blood less likely to be shed.
    • Right, onto the second last trick. The Air Con condenser is mounted to the front of the radiator and stays in the car when the radiator is removed. There are 2x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the condenser to the radiator, remove those The bottom of the condenser is attached to the radiator with clips. You need to lift the condenser out of those clips and clear (up, then forward). f**ked if  could work out how to do that last bit with the front bumper on. I hope you can, and you share the trick.  Bumper removal probably deserves its own thread one day once I've recovered the will to live, but basically you need to remove the wheels, front inner guard liners (clips and 10mm headed bolts), the self tapper between the guard and the bumper at the rearmost point of the bumper (same as an R32 that bit), any remaining clips at the top/front of the grill, an absolute bastard design with a plate that holds the top of the bumper above the headlight each side (only 1 bolt which is tricky to get to, but the plate catches 2 places on the bumper and must be removed....carefully!) and push clips between the bumper and guard under the headlight. If you've done all that you will be faced with wiring for the fog lights on both sides and in ADM Q50 RS at least, 4 nasty tight plugs on the driver's side for the ADAS stuff. So, the clips at the bottom look like this on drivers side (looking from the front) And on the passenger side (also from the front), you can see this one is already out Clearance on both of these are super tight; the condenser needs to move up but the upper rad support mount prevents that, and the radiator can't move down far because it is (rubber) mounted. Once you achieve the impossible and drop the condenser off those mounts so it does not stop the rad moving, you are good to go
    • OK, next the shroud needs to come off and there are a couple of tricks. Firstly, there is a loom from near the passenger side headlight to the fans, coolant temp sensor etc and there is no plug to undo.  In my case I was OK to leave the shroud on top of the engine so I just undid the passenger side fan plug and about 10 of the clips which gave enough free wire to put it aside. The fan plugs were super tight, the trick I used was a small falt screwdriver to push down on the release tab, then a larger flat screwdriver to lever the plug out of the fan unit....be careful with how much force you apply! If you need to remove the shroud altogether for some reason you will have to deal with all the plugs (tight) and clips (brittle)....good luck. I removed all of the clips and replaced them with cable ties that I will just cut next time. Also, in the Red Sport / 400R at least, the intake heat exchanger reservoir hose is bolted to the shroud in 2 places with 10mm headed bolts; so remove them (the hose stays in the car; no need to undo it at the t fittings down at the radiator lower mount. Once you've dealt with the HX hose and the wiring loom, there are 3x 10mm headed self tappers holding the top of the shroud to the radiator; remove those.   The shroud then lifts out of the bottom mounts where it sits on the radiator, up and onto the engine out of the way.
